kuhlmann - 2015-06-04 11:29 AM I'd like to see AP do it. That said, I think Materiality has a good shot of being up in the mix.

^^ My thoughts too!

Β If you have noticed Bob Baffert has been very inconsistent in winning many of the major races like he did in the past. He always has the top of the line horses. If and when American Pharaoh wins the triple crown there will be all kinds of controversy about why American Pharaoh has so much muscle compared to the other horses. JMHO.

I hope AP wins, but I also think Frosted will take it. I'll be cheering AP on the whole way though!

He doesn't have the number of wins, but earnings he's been in the top 3 since 2009. That means he's winning big ones.

If AP gets in a bind, is struggling or feels off........he will get pulled up. That horse is worth much more as a sound breeding stallion even if he doesn't win the Belmont/Triple Crown. He will be worth nothing if he breaks down, well maybe a big fat insurance check.

His breeding rights have already been sold so I feel this is very true, but they do get a higher premium if he wins the Triple Crown. I am an optimist, glass 1/2 full kind of girl. I hope he wins and does it brilliantly. As I mentioned before, America could sure use the positives right now.

I don't know why, but this is depressing to me - I want a Triple Crown Winner!!!

With breeding rights already sold, that is all the more reason to just "trot" him around the track. It's all about the $$$$. Nobody involved will make any money if AP breaks down.

I'm sure the bonus is worth it to go for a win. I guess I feel that the jocks should all do what is in the best interest of the horse, if they bobble or don't feel right, they should be pulled up regardless of what is in the line. But I'm not naive enough to believe they all do that.

I really hope AP can pull it off. I think if it's a sloppy track and be can break to the front like the Preakness be might be ok.
So far I'm thinking AP, frosted, and madefromlucky and box them. . . . . .

Because I am a huge fan of T/B racing I am pulling for AP for the Triple Crown win.  BUT this distance could be more than he can hold onto, but I am hoping his ability to win will make him fight for it and we know he has the class....Materiality should love the distance and he is coming in rested, he is also one to watch.   IMHO

May they all come home safely AMEN!

American Pharoh impressed me in the Preakness. So versatile! That being said Mubtahij (sp) is dangerous. Fingers crossed!
