Location: Loco,Ok | We ride them.Not just work barrels but used outside also.The head gear I make and that goes with the horse when they go home.

| Thank you everyone...my original plan was to do all of her training myself, I'm just burned out and was wanting a small "break". Figured sending her off to be finished would be the break I needed and then I could just enjoy her instead of having to do all the training. |

Location: Gainesville, TX | Send her to Lianna DeWeese. She is one of the best trainers you will ever meet. Super nice hand with a horse. She has my three year old now and will get all of my babies as long as she is able to still get on one. She is no nonsense and super honest. She is also patient. You won't get a blown up wreck back either. You will probably pick your horse up looking better than when you dropped it off. She doesn't take buckers and she wants them started under saddle at least 30-60 but otherwise can train them to do anything you ask. Plus she rides your horse, not an intern. Super great about staying in contact with you and keeping you updated about your horse too. I can't say enough nice things about her program.

| I have had personal experience with a couple of the trainers listed and my opinion: Keep looking; or go on with your training. Your horse looks to be doing fine. |

Location: Texas | I love to read these. Everyone has an opinion because it has or hasn't worked for them. If its worked for you there's nothing to say but good things. If it didn't work for you they must be terrible. No one ever considers that you just can't ride behind them or the fact you sent your horse to a 1D rider/futurity trainer is over your riding capabilities. consider sending your horse to someone who trains to better fit what you plan to do with your horse. No reason to send your horse to someone who primarily trains futurity horses if your gonna NBHA only, etc, etc...
Also, It's idiotic to say GUYS are hard to ride behind when the majority of horses winning the big Rodeos were trained by men! I'm sorry but Ryan Lovendahl, Add Waddell, and sooo many other guys are easy to ride behind! They are the quietest and lightest trainers around. Some guys are hard to ride behind, but there are ALOT of women who I would never ride behind. Women can jerk and snatch with the best of them!
Try asking your close friends who they use or a tough local competitor that is consistently winning who they recommend. What works for one person might not work for you. |
