CYA Ranch - 2015-06-28 9:05 AM I had a full hyst in October. There were complications but only because I'd had a C section 19 yrs prior and was full of scar tissue that had to be cleaned up and in the process my bladder ripped. My little 1 1/2 hour surgery took 8 hours and 4 days in the hospital. Recovery from the hyst was easy. The bladder recovery was a gross ordeal that took some time.
CYA, I am so sorry that you had the bladder ripped as I do hear there is a chance things like this can happen. I sure hope that after all these months you are doing much better. I, too, have the added complications of an abscess that I suffered back in January and the doc told me it might look like a bomb went off in there and they really won't know exactly what they are dealing with until I am opened up......I am freaking nervous! I have never had major surgery so I'm kind of feeling a little lost about what to expect.
I feel so much better now that it was all worth it. One of my girlfriends had a hyst in May. She's doing amazing and ready to be cleared to ride again. You're going to be great! |

Location: NE Texas | I just wanted to let everyone know that I spoke with kaycee and she asked me to update everyone with how her surgery went. She said everything went really well and that she had a complete hysto. Luckily the th scar tissue was only around the left ovary and her colon looked great, so there was no need for any colon resection. Great news for her!!! She said she should get to go home tomorrow. Thanks to all for their thoughts and prayers! |

Someone coming in the room every hour to check vitals or get your meds or just check on you. Thankful Baylor Dallas was so good to me. I see where my sweet friend, Herbie, updated yall so I will sign off now and get some more sleep. Thanks to everyone for the wonderful support. Counting down to Aug. 24th to be able to ride my ponies again!!!! |

Location: Red Raiderland | Thank you all so much for the awesome support!!! I am not nearly as sore today than I was yesterday, which brings me to the BIG PROBLEM: How the hell am I going to sit around for 6-7 weeks!?! I'll go insane! I will not overdo anything and will not get in the saddle till Aug. 24th but holy cow, how did the rest of y'all cope? |
