| streakysox - 2015-08-06 5:45 PM Whiteboy - 2015-08-06 2:32 PM I hoping for a breakout moment for Carson. I love the way he thinks. Hopefully he has the strength to stand out and express those ideas. It's time for a REAL black president rather than a pathetic community organizer. Carson definitely has some good ideas and iis obviously very well intelligent. Really can't wait to hear his ideas. In a true debate he could truly hold his own. For those who do not know who he is, you need to get the movie about his life titled GIFTED HANDS. HE did come from modest beginnings.
What I like most about him is that his life has been guided by principals...and he sticks by them...the inverse of that is what has turned me off on trump. I wish trump had Carson's morals...that would be the perfect candidate in my world. |

Principals will get you nowhere in DC. Carter had all of those and he was the biggest pussy we've ever had in the White House. Great man, but not president material. |

Liberalism is not a principle.....it's a scourge. Carter is a nice man and he has a good heart, but his fatal flaw was his unabashed liberalism. Ronald Reagan crushed him in one of the biggest landslides in history.
I heard Carly Fiorina blew everyone away in the JV game. I'm not surprised.
She reminds me of Maggie Thatcher. |

FlyingJT - 2015-08-06 12:51 PM Anyone know much on Carly Fiorina?
She is smart, educated, has a strong business background and gave Boxer a good run here in CA. I voted for Carly, hoping... I like her, a LOT.  Reading some of the blog posts, she is definitely hitting key points and making herself known. Go Carly!Â
Agreed! Watch and see.....she's going to emerge as a serious contender.
She has more balls and moxy than 99% of the men and women in either house.

Location: Online | These debates are just something for people to talk about and discuss to death. Something for the Liberals to twist words and Conservatives to drool over. It doesn't matter how well any of them do. The idiotic Republican establishment will pick their golden child. Jeb Bush. God help us.....
I like Ben Carson, but I don't think he's flamboyant enough. I know that's sad. Trump can't be trusted, although he's not afraid. I don't know anything about Carly, other than the Liberals heads spin over her time at HP. I'm not sure what she did there, but they get their panties in a wad over it. The rest are old, tired career politicians that make me cringe. |

Location: SE Louisiana | It's been 'politics as usual' in DC for so long the people there can't see outside the box they live in. Trump spent his whole life living outside the box along with the rest of us. He is neither politically correct nor diplomatic. He speaks the people's language. None of the big league politicians or the press know what to do with a man like this.
They stand back and sling buckets of mud, just hoping some of it sticks. Yet none of it does. They can't figure out why this tactic isn't working. It always did before. Trump is the only one running for office that is thinking outside the box.
He's the only one that knows how. All the rest are career politicians and would sooner be caught walking the street naked than be caught in public saying something politically INcorrect or being undiplomatic.
Now you watch as the race continues. They will try doing the same thing and will fall flat on their faces because they can't 'think like common people...as fast as common people', and Trump can. They have to stop and get advice from experts before they can say anything outside of a script, for fear of offending someone in Madagascar. |

Location: Bastrop, Texas | Wow, it's hard to believe that poll. They went after Trump right out of the box and I thought it seemed pretty brutal. I didn't see the whole debate though. From what I hear, if Carly Fiorina doesn't at least move into the top 10 something is drastically wrong. |

It does me! I found Trump to be aggressive, angry, lost, lacked depth in his answers, and dodged just as well of not better than the career politicians next to him. Cruz I expected. I really figured of see Rubio and Huckabee up at the top! |

Location: Bastrop, Texas | When we see some of these so-called "polls" we need to remember that most really aren't scientific polls. They are meaningless because they aren't designed to give an accurate representation of public sentiments across the board. The real polls like Quinnipiac are designed to at least attempt to be accurate. |

Location: Displaced Iowegian | After watching that debate, I guess that I don't "get" the Trump Band Wagon either........... he gave me NOTHING....and now this morning he is "boo-hooing" about how unfair they were to him. I saw tougher questions to the others and there are quite a few who stood out ahead of him. I see him only as a "spoiler"......there is a BIG difference in being "poitically correct" and just being RESPECTFUL ! ! |

He'll fade away as this election draws on. He doesn't have a shot at the nom. |
