Location: Sherman, TX | They only had to give 10% of what Latte sold for to the other owner. So he only sold for around $80,000, Justin Boots put up the rest of the money and got it back or at least got it back minus the 10%. The Walkers did lose the court case though and did have to pay the old owner more at a later date.Â

Location: Central Texas | Not passing a vet check can include minor issues. I know one vet that has only given about 2 horses a complete pass and he's an older vet. Most of the ones he does not pass have a very minor issue. He does not chose to over look a minor one regardless of how unimportant it may seem. He didn't pass a horse I know of because he didn't react to his eye check exactly the way he wanted. Said it would probably NEVER EVER be a problem though. |

The Mcleod's did not buy her and she would be the highest selling barrel horse I've ever heard of if the figure is correct that I heard. latte sold for what 800,000? so KC sold for more than that? to me this is crazy, yes she is a wicked mare but......
The difference in her and Latte is just that. She is a mare. Could you imagine what embryos from Kellies Chick may bring? What her offspring would be worth? Latte is only worth what he is worth as a barrel horse. He cannot reproduce, thus not adding to his value other than as an athlete. Â

I'm confused then...he stated he sold her, then now it's just rumors. |

Um...the part about the price tag, her going to Brazil, not passing a vet check.... The only part that appears to be true is that she sold to Busby's. |

Justin Boots did not buy Latte. JUSTIN'S DISCOUNT BOOTS bought him. Justin as in a first name. |

Location: lost in missouri | Hardly any vet will ever pass a horse completely in a vet check. They are just like us humans everyone of us has something going on. an ankle that pops, an eye that is lazy, etc they dont like to fully pass one and then something pops up later and the buyer can come back on the vet and say u said it was 100% so very rarely will you find a vet that passes one 100%. Quite frankly if a vet did pass one 100% I would be questioning the quality of my pre purchase exam. |

Along with that, athletes at this level are never 100% sound. Lots of money and effort go into keeping these horses performing at top levels, without those efforts a horse at that level wouldn't last a year. |
