Location: Nevada | Hubby and I are planning on going the 10th-12th. My question is is it worth paying $200 per ticket for ok seats or should we just watch at casino? I would rather save that money for cowboy christmas. |

if you have never been, go to a performance.
If you have ever been for sure find a comfy spot in casino to watch and drink.
Also if you go to performance take a shuttle or limo don't try and drive

We usually get $100 seats one night and then just watch at the casino. It is fun to go to the NFR because the atmosphere gets pretty electric, especially the grand entry. But I do enjoy the comfort of watching at the casino, too. I, too, would rather have a little shopping money in case I see something I don't think I can live without, lol. |

We bought $130 seats.. not great seats but I wanted to say I was there and saw it. Maybe when I'm not a semi broke college student I can buy the nicer ones! |

Not a bad seat in the house! There are actually some better deals this year than I have seen in the past! |

I love watching it at the casino, simply because i can hear everything going on. I have gone and sat in the 7th row which was a great experience. I have gone and sat in general seating...(you couldnt much tell who the heck was running). |

I am bringing my daughter who will be turning 15 the week before. It has been a long time since my husband and I have been. We are going strictly for the rodeo and shopping (not a big gambler). Can anyone suggest any other things during those dates to go and see? Any ropings or such happening? |

The World Series of team roping finals will be at South Point.
There is also a chute out rodeo at the orleans... sounds like a different concept. maybe pretty exciting to watch??

Location: In the Hills of Texas | This is how I look at it...Go to a performance and if you aren't in the expensive seats you are going to watch it on the Jumbotron or go and be comfortable and see everything at a casino.
I agree with Arion...Everyone needs to experience a live performance once. |

Location: Probably On the Road to the Next Barrel Race! | Be there 4th thru 9th...last time I was there was in 1981, I believe. Our room was right next to Charmayne James Rodman. She was too young to gamble, but my husband made a lot of money off her husband at the craps table. I remember thinking...there is only one foot of space and some sheetrock between her headboard and mine. I felt like a celebrity.

No we are staying at another hotel, I think MGM. I think one or two of us is coming in on the 4th but we take a final on the 4th and most of us didn't want to take a final and then catch a plane. |
