| Ugh, just 4, that's tough! A good smooth mouth o-ring snaffle, some type of hak the s-hak seems to be one I go to, I've got a Jim Hyde made bit with 6" shanks and a floating port with rollers in it, I believe he called it a Saville bit, that every single horse I've ever put it in will just ride off in it and any Elliot bit but love my spur up 04. |

Location: Montana | Smooth o ring snaffle, twisted wire snaffle, Jr. cow horse with twisted mouth with dogbone, o-ring combo with a twisted mouth and dog bone. Those are the ones for today as that is what my current horse works best in. It may change. :) |

...bottom 2 I have used since '88 .
The top two once a horse gets into them , they don't like anything else.I try to sneak them into other chain bits if they need more , or less for competition but use them for everyday ( finished horses)

I think this is hilarious! I too agree-even after I made my 4 bit selection-I've been having a panic attack thinking that I should maybe change my choices-like it was some sort of test-even considered deleting my post just in case it came true!! |
