I'd vote for him.

Edited to add; I think we should have a "none of the above" option. And it wipes the slate clean and brings in a new set of candidates. lol.

lhighquality - 2015-12-10 8:29 AM I agree, I can't decide whether he is good or just talk. I do respect his business savvy, & believe our country needs a business minded person, just not sure if he's the one! I also wonder if he is the lesser of the evils. I do "like" Ben Carson, but he doesn't get the "airtime" that the others seem to. I don't care for any of the Democratic hopefuls, once again I have my lesser of the evils = Bernie Sanders I'm glad we still have a little time before we have to decide who to vote for.
Agree with you. I like that Trump is causing everyone to have to discuss the important issues. I like that he is blunt and to the point. However, I keep waiting for him to explain how he is going to execute his promises. I am starting to feel like he is only talking...    I realize he is not a professional politician, I just need to hear from him what he is going to do to make all these changes. I like Carson also. I think he is smart man that I find myself agreeing with often. I think his soft spoken deminer gets him less media attention. I just PRAY the right person gets the job. I am worried for our country.

ETA I will take Ted Cruz, Rubio, any of the GOP canidates rather than Hillary Clinton...

The media loves it when Trump opens his mouth because it brings in the ratings that they need.   I used to like him but now I think he's a little too brash and the fact that he'll say  anything that's on his mind kind of scares me, especially when it comes to foreign relations.

I really like Carly Fiorina and would love to see her duke it out with Hillary.  That way Hillary wouldn't win on the principle of being the first woman president.

ThreeCorners - 2015-12-11 6:37 AM  I think he's a self centered whiney baby and scary as h*ll. Alot of people rally to him because they are 100% fed up (as I am) and he will say what so many are thinking. However......he wont win, he's alienated way to many and because he thinks he's all that, he says he will run as an independant, thus further dividing the votes to ensure a democratic win if he doesnt get the nomination.
THAT is what I personally think might happen.
you guys miss where he signed with the republican party that he would NOT run as an independant?
And you believe him? He has lied about knowing the disabled reporter....now this morning, it shows in taped testimony that he has lied about knowing and working with a "mob" connection.

your kidding right NJJ.... our current president was financed by the mob.... mr Trump will finance himself and for no other reason that wasting trillions (enough to erase the national debt) of taxpayer money on the elections over the last 50 years..... i say Vote Trump

I was shocked to read that banning muslims would actually be legal. I don't remember the exact laws but it is legal for the president to not let aliens in that have made threats or pose dangers to the US. I think it is reasonable to ask our leaders to stop the flow of people from the middle east and try to get a handle on security. Once again our nation is not following laws that are all ready on the books, just like with guns!

Since when did the ability to get anything done affect anyone's campaign promises??!! Unfortunately Obama has kept more than a few by illegal Executive orders, setting a DANGEROUS precedent and Trump could follow suit. I'd like Trump to be able to follow through with "some" of his rhetoric but he does go overboard....and that is unfortunate. I'd hate to see him go 3rd party and divide the vote, giving the race to Hillary, who should never make it that far (and Socialist Bernie is not a tolerable choice....since when does declaring that one is a Socialist in this country a good thing??!!??)

All that I know is that I am beyond TIRED of career politicians. I am tired of wishy, washy political correctness (you do NOT have the RIGHT to not be offended, deal with it). Our political system is being morphed right under our eyes, we are losing control and rights by the day.....yet so many seem to think that it is OK. The purpose of power being "equally" divided between Executive, Judicial and Legislative branches is to bring reason n control to power hungry individuals and parties. We are losing that balance.

For me, I will hold out as long as I can, for a non-politician. I would vote 3rd party in an instant, if I thought they had a chance in Hades of winning, but the chance of that happening becomes more and more remote as we bring in illegals, giving them driver's licenses which open the door for them to vote and they WILL vote for those that give them the most goodies (more benefits and rights than you and I will ever hope to have) then it will become a ONE party system. If that non-politician is Trump, so be it. Maybe he can at least shake things up in Washington, much like Sarah Palin promised to. All that I know is we are SO headed down the wrong path....makes me glad that I never had kids, for I fear for the future of those coming behind us.

What I find extremely sad is that all the news organizations are foaming at the mouth about what Trump said, as well as almost every career politician. I personally do not have a problem with what he said. But, to me what is really sad is that this is getting all of the coverage, and zero air time by the mainstream media has been given to the fact that an e-mail was released two days ago showing that Hillary Clinton and Obama received an e-mail on the night of the attack in Benghazi, stating that we had assets in place and ready to go help, but was denied the right to do so. According to the time line of the e-mail, they would not have gotten there in time to make a difference on the assault on the consulate, but they would have been there to make a difference with the attack on the CIA annex. But yet, we are hearing nothing about this. And we have citizens of this country who will vote for Hillary. Hell she would not protect four Americans, what makes anyone think she will protect this country. Makes me sick. And anyone who supports her, please do not tell me your concerned about this countries safety or that you support our military, the two do not go together

Trump is very smart, but he's obviously not a polished politician...I am so sick of voting for the "right" people only to be continually disappointed when they bow to the establishment and nothing changes...it's refreshing to see someone with balls...finally.  I think his over the top solutions are what the voters want to see...at least he's not trying to stay politically correct, or stay in the middle, trying to please everyone...I think he truly sees what's best for the country, everyone else be dammed...

Having said that, I think Ted Cruz is a better candidate than Trump, but sadly, he comes off as the practiced, same ol, same ol politician to the more uninformed...and they don't trust him...I do trust him because I know how anti establishment he really is, and I trust him to do what's best a lot more than I trust Trump.

We have been lied to for so long by the RINO "establishment", that to see Trump loudly stomping them all and exposing them for what they really are is something we've all wanted to do, and it gives us some satisfaction, thru Trump, to see them squirm....personally, I love seeing them squirm and sweat just trying to find a way to shut Trump up because Trump is about to destroy their little playhouse and all those little power mongers in DC will have to find a new scam to pull off on us....

One thing is for sure, Trump has changed the way politicians think and showed us all that you don't have to play their game...

I do think he's sincere and the admiration of the public is spurring him forward...without all the crowds and the cheering and support, he will go away, but I do believe he might have an ego driven agenda also...to be the person that goes into the history books as being the one person that turned America around at a critical point and "made it great again"....but his agenda is so much better for us than Hillary's, whose elitist agenda shows how she sees us all as pieces of gravel to walk on as she moves into her ultimate power position....God help us if she gets elected....

I would hate to see another "Romney" type Republican candidate (like JEB or Rubio)....but I hate Hillary so much that I'll vote for whoever gets the Republican nomination...I hope it's Ted Cruz.  Time will tell...the nomination will go to Rubio, Cruz, or Trump, no telling who will prevail...

P.S.....not to mention Trump can't be bought, which they all really hate more than anything!!

I am from Canada but we were having this discussion last night at work, there are quite a few people from the US on my fb and all of them seem to be big trump supporters. I do not follow politics too closely and I truly think he is a bully but why does he have so many supporters?

Ugh you think its bad there, come to Canada our government is trying to kill us all!

I think I can answer that with my own opinion....the RINO establishment is the real bully in America...they have thrown in with the Democrats to be part of the elite power structure in Washington DC with all of it's priveleges, and they have all lost touch with the voters....

It takes a bigger bully to fight fire with fire....and Trump is very smart because he knows from the inside how they operate, and knows exactly what it takes to disarm them and put them off their game...and he's so good at it....America needs the bigger bully to fight for us right now, it's been too long....that's what we all see...hope that was a decent answer...

Here's what I'm looking for in my mythical "perfect" candidate:

1.) Someone with strength of character and courage to stand behind certain core convictions.
2.) Someone who can't be bought, or unduly influenced by anyone.
3.) Someone who feels our government is out of control, meddlesome, and bloated.
4.) Someone who can inspire and bring the country back together, rather than promote divisions.
4.) Someone who has accomplished something that would look good on a resume'.
5.) Someone with original ideas.
6.) Someone who can command respect around the globe, and, step up and lead when a crisis or event calls for it, whether it's ISIS, North Korea, China, or Russia.
7.) Someone who is unafraid to look at their own mistakes, and own them.
8.) Someone who is unafraid to take a stand, even when the prevailing winds of public opinion runs contrary.
9.) Someone who feels strongly about working within the limits posed on the federal government by the constitution.
10.) Someone who believes in free market capitalism.
11.) Someone willing to slash the size of government and slash both federal spending and taxes, both personal and corporate.
12.) Someone willing to vigorously advocate for term limits.
13.) Someone who believes in state's rights.
14.) Someone who can propose real, fair tax reform and drastically simplify our tax code, once and for all....not just "tweak" the existing code which even experts don't fully understand.
15.) Someone willing to take on the "third rail of American politics" and reform social security into something each citizen actually owns. One that takes advantage the immense power of our capitalist economy to turn it into something where people want in on the action. One where the mandatory contribution is invested in a diverse private sector portfolio.
16.) Someone willing to propose transitioning Medicare into a private retirement healthcare fund....same as Social Security.
17.) Someone who will sh!tcan ObamaCare and use free market capitalism to reform healthcare......eliminating barriers across state lines to health insurers, promoting expanded HSA accounts that rollover into privately owned IRA's, promoting catastrophic health insurance concurrently with the HSA's and vigorously promoting the merits and benefits.
18.) Someone who will make certain we continue to have a military that is vastly more powerful than any other country on the face of the earth.
18.) Someone who will solve the border problem, once and for all.

Whoever comes closest to all these things will get my vote.....BUT, I WILL VOTE.

I think it is reasonable to ask our leaders to stop the flow of people from the middle east and try to get a handle on security. Once again our nation is not following laws that are all ready on the books, just like with guns!

Originally posted by Linda Terry, Islam, by law, is prohibited from US immigration The Immigration and Nationality Act passed June 27, 1952 revised the laws relating to immigration, naturalization, and nationality for the United States. That act, which became Public Law 414, established both the law and the intent of Congress regarding the immigration of Aliens to the US and remains in effect today. Among the many issues it covers, one in particular, found in Chapter 2 Section 212, is the prohibition of entry to the US if the Alien belongs to an organization seeking to overthrow the government of the United States by "force, violence, or other unconstitutional means." This, by its very definition, rules out Islamic immigration to the United States, but this law is being ignored by the White House.

Islamic immigration to the US would be prohibited under this law because the Koran, Sharia Law and the Hadith all require complete submission to Islam, which is antithetical to the US government, the Constitution, and to the Republic.

All Muslims who attest that the Koran is their life's guiding principal subscribe to submission to Islam and its form of government. Now the political correct crowd would say that Islamists cannot be prohibited from entering the US because Islam is a religion. Whether it is a religion is immaterial because the law states that Aliens who are affiliated with any "organization" that advocates the overthrow of our government are prohibited. Enforce the law!! This 1952 law has been revised, but INA Act 212 is in effect today. Google INA Act 212 and read it. Those advocating the overthrow of our government are still not allowed.

So far Trump is saying what I want to hear. I think if he gets into office our weak minded politicians will follow him. If they don't, they get voted out of their cushy jobs. We need to speak in a voice that even the politicians can hear. Going outside the parties is a way to do that. Most people who are speaking out against what Trump says haven't listened to what he said. They are reading the MSM bullsh*t version of it where they twist it to mean something else.

Will I vote for him? It's a LONG year we have ahead. There can be many things happen between now and then.
