Welp wanted to throw out an update! We didn't go with the f350 7.3 but with a 2005 chevy 2500 6.6 with 130,000miles that looks brand new no wear anywere. It was at a big dealership stickered at 21,000 but we paid 18500 included were 4 oil changes 4rotations 1 year powertrain warrenty. we had been haggling on this vehicle for 2 weeks and really thought they wouldn't do what we wanted.I grew up in a Ford house so this is definitely a odd site in the driveway. Out of 20+ trucks we looked at this was by far the nicest and most well kept.

That's a great choice too! Those 6.6 Duramax's are just as solid as the 7.3's.

 I loved my 2005, and it's still going strong on the farm.   That engine/tranny has been very reliable for us, which is one reason they're holding their value so well.

We had an 05 3500... Still miss that truck every day. You got a great deal on it!
