BARRELHORSE USA - 2016-01-14 1:24 AM You are doing fine .. just keep feeding and regular riding and his muscles will form naturally ... Don't go buying new saddles or saddle pads .... buy you some good quality bath hand towels to use as shims if you think you need them on the dip at his withers .. just fold them to fit .. Now watch this video ... while you are watching video ... note how much skirt Cervi's saddle has on it for even weight distribution https://youtu.be/l4iVhzeegyk Nice ... stout and stocky looking!! just like Stingray...

we do that as our 3 yr olds are changing in muscles.. if things arent right.. or half pads with a folded towel..near withers..

No not downhill....... never said downhill.lol I said upside down but didnt realize he had KS.. ALL I said was he looked weak along his back and stomach but alot of horses do and that may be what they were talking about.. it isnt a MUCH noticaable thing.. Id not worry about it truthfully.. winter time alot of them gt that way.. you asked and I just pointed out what I thought they were talking about ..

OH NO! NOT YOU! I know you never said that! Just in the pic I posted from last night I thought it made him look a little downhill. No worries! :)

I also have a gelding with similar build, also KS. I have been working on his topline since May and doing lots of long and low work, lunging, ground poles, etc. I too have noticed more of a dip behind his shoulder but I think thats because the rest of him has filled out. I dont think the dip has actually changed, its just more noticeable because hes filled out in other place.

Thats my ryhme or reason to it.
