Location: East Tennessee but who knows?!		 If I had a mare that was difficult, the last thing I would want to do is breed. Why risk passing those bad genetics on? The kill pen is full of those. I had a mare whose dam was bred for this very reason. She was just like her mother. I put 2 hard years on her and out of all the colts I've broken through the years she was the absolute worst from first ride on. I put a ton of time, wet saddle blankets on her,so did one of the best hands I know.I sent her down the road, full disclosure.

Lol thanks guys. The mare in question is not mean or crazy but due to lack of handling as a young horse could use some maturing. Honestly, I probably won't just because I don't want 2 babies next year but I have a breeding I won't be using this year to a FF stud due to a mare miscarrying and it crossed my mind last night.

Your answer to this is GO TO WORK. GO BACK TO BASICS.
WHY would you think having a foal would help her?
TRAIN HER. That is what she needs. You must teach respect. Teach manners. They can learn that at birth and they sure are not mature then.
