We have a 25 year old pomeranian who only has one sideways tooth left, and she gets moist and meaty with her previcox everyday. She doesn't eat much, so one package lasts all day for her.

We actually got her when she was twelve or thirteen, she was rescued from a puppy mill operation and was so sick they were just going to put her down. We stepped up and took her to the vet and they got her all fixed up and she's been with us ever since. She actually lives outside (yes, sounds awful for such a small dog, but she feels too confined in the house and tears stuff up), she has a large yard barn outside that she lives in with a couch and heated beds with our other three dogs. They are all molers and squirrel chasers so they love it outside. Even now all these years later, she will hardly even let my brother or step dad touch her. She just hates men, but with no teeth, she really is all bark no bite. haha

I think you've posted about her before and I thought her age was a typo!!! Never heard of a dog that old. Y'all have done an amazing job.

Ya, I've mentioned her a few times, but she's doing most of the work. haha A few years back we thought she was getting near the end, she had a really bad heart murmur and was overall not what she had been, we were not going to be surprised if we went out to feed and find her gone. But we got her on some heart meds and previcox and she was like a whole new puppy - running and playing and chasing squirrels again. I swear by that previcox for every older dog (or performance horse for that matter haha). She wouldn't still be here if not for that. We really thought this winter was going to be hard on her based on how bad her coat was in the fall, but so far she doesn't seem any worse for wear. Still out at 3am barking at her echo. haha

This is the oldest I have ever heard of a dog living, I wonder if you have the oldest dog in the world? I think this would be something to check out.

You should check into that---we may have a famous (REALLY) senior citizen dog on here!

We have looked into it, the oldest dog verified was 29 years old. But there is a dog right now that is said to be 30 years old, but like ours, does not have paperwork to prove how old it is so it will not be recognized. So she would never be considered for title even if she lived longer than that since she was a rescue with no papers.

I'm just glad she got a good home to live out her L O N G life. What a blessed girl
