And just scratch my head here and just wonder about life's lessons sometimes... But I feel disheartened by the fact that a few of the friends I have eagerly helped in the past, even to the point of kept their horses exercised, tagged along to help, cheered them on, and been by there side while they get there time in the spot light winning buckles and money.ect, & knowing I will get my chance in the spotlight too one day. Recently, I won my first champion buckle ever, sure it was a small local association, But I won't discredit it because everyone's has to start somewhere.
Should I be angry? Maybe, but I'm not.
Just saddened to see those I have rooted for for so long not even acknowledge it. And I know they have seen my Facebook pictures. sounds a lil childish I know, but it's still hard to swallow sometimes.
Guess our live have taken different paths. They are now rasing children, or have lives away from horses. I now have a Few other friends that I show with. I'm still greatful for those times with my old friends and continue to cheer on my new ones even if Sounding like I need dear Abby! Just confused about it & Learning the lessons as I go
-sincerely
Life's giving me oranges when I want lemonade... Lol

Can you post a pic---bet folks on here would love to see your buckle. Congrats

Been in your shoes and it's definitely not a happy place to be.  With that said, if anything positive can come out of the jealousy and pettiness of some people it's this:  at least now you see certain people for what and who they really are...and "real" friends it's not.  Now you are operating with a much clearer idea of some of those around you and know how you want to carry on from here on out.

Congrats on your big win...and it is a big win.  A win is a win regardless...good job!

They may not be jealous, they may be too busy to say something, they may consider you posting on Facebook is bragging, they may not feel the need to validate your success just because they are a friend.

My true friends I know are always cheering me on, I may not hear them cheer me on, they may not post on Facebook a congrats, but when I see them in person in regular conversation they make a point to ask about me, my successes, and we celebrate even the little victories with a yay, in person not on Facebook.

I am one who tries not to validate victories on Facebook, as I may miss one person, this doesn't mean their victory was any less important, but they may see it that way. I do try and congratulate them in person, even if it is months later.

For yourself, I do believe you need to do some soul searching, why do you need validation? How can you change it?

Oh gosh no, I don't think they are jealious either. It's not fb validation,I could care less if they congratulate me via fb. Not really one for public gloating esp fb. (I even contemplated deleting this post as I was writing it) . I hate beig in a spot light and having the pressure of competition. I'm more excited that I pushed thru my anxiety winning it. Always tell people( and myself) it's just you and the clock. Trust me my nerves were shot at that last show!!!.

guess what I'm really trying to say is that victory would have been a lil sweeter with them by my side.

I LOVE it when someone wins their first buckle or saddle (because I know how elated I was) - So CONGRATS on your buckle!!! Way to go!

Now, on the OTHER hand, the people who win every race they go to and have won 2561516 buckles, I get tired of patting their backs EVERY.SINGLE.DAY on FB - some of that is enough.

Post pics of your buckle for us to see!
