IN the heat of the caucuses, do you think that Cruz, himself, is going to "monitor" every little thing going on around him.....of course, it would benefit Trump to jump on this to cover up the sh*t that he has thrown out about others. His statement......"
He is responsible for the actions of his staff. Someone has to be accountable. I don't consider this a "little thing", as I'm sure Ben Carson doesn't either!
If he can't control his staff, how is he ever going to run a country?
Give me a break.......how many times in ANY campaign, any capitalistic business, any government office has anyone did a wrong thing....he DID take the blame for the ineptness of his staffer.....but that doesn't mean that he KNEW about it and could have stopped it OR that he ACTUALLY did something wrong himself....really scraping the barrel here to "bash" Cruz.....And I don't even support the man........ |

Location: Texas | I already had questions in my mind about Cruz. I know that he said on his loan from Goldman Sachs that he just forgot to enter it on one form. Seriously? I am pretty sure there was probably a little box that said "all loans", how do you overlook a million dollar loan? And now this. The Cruz camp knew long before the caucauses started that Carson was not dropping out, yet at many of the caucauses his staff were telling people that Carson had dropped out and telling them to support Cruz. In fact at one of them Dr Carson's wife was in attendance and had to set the record straight. I am so over lying politicians I could scream. This just put the last nail in the coffin for Cruz for me |

Location: West Texas | The polls going into Iowa have been wrong the last three presidential campaign cycles. One reason is that many have not made up their minds and the whole idea of the Caucus is to convince voters to stay with you or join you. It is not like a primary. Also, the Democrats and Republicans do it differently. Also, the shear number of Republican candidates and the state of the Republican voter, lends to much uncertainty of any polls. In a Caucus vote, campaign infrastructure is very important. Cruz had this and it showed dividends for him. If polls were the only thing that mattered, well...we wouldn't really need an election?
Bottom line, this is mostly CNNs fault for poor journalism, in my opinion. The Cruz camp was trying to make their case for voting Cruz. This is kind of what a Caucus does. If the CNN report had been true, then what happened would have been completely acceptable. Instead, the report was vague and the Cruz people didn't look close enough at what was really happening. This is something that could have happened to any of the campaigns, and I am hearing now that Rubio's people were reporting the same thing. |

Location: 100 miles from Nowhere, AR | The only respectable actions I find in this whole deal are that he apologized (sort of), and he didn't shift blame and fire the scape goat. After the fact, of course, after the damage was done. I don't believe they "misread" anything. I also don't believe that trump is taking up the cause in defense of Ben Carson, because he probably would have done the same crap if he had thought of it. I'm feeling very cynical today. |

How many times have government heads had to resign because of something their staffers did???????? They, at least, were held accountable. |

| I lost alot of respect for him on this whole thing. And then the email they released tonite, made it even worse. Still trying to dodge a bullet. They cheated and got caught is what happened. There was a time when i liked him, but there's just something about him that makes me uneasy and now this. That was dirty, plain and simple. |

Because if you bad mouth Obama you are a racist, and if you bad mouth Hilary you are a misogynist. Can't win either way. |

It would be a cold day in hell before I voted for Killary. I don't like what Cruz did and hope he loses the nomination, this deal kind of cemented what I was already thinking, but I would sure as heck choose him over either one on the other side. I would just have to hold my nose while I did it. |
