Been feeding this for about two years to the Jack Russell Terrorist, the Great Dane, and the Pit. No issues and no landmines in my yard! |

| We have a bull mastiff and feed Earthborn. It's grain free. Her coat is amazing and never had any problems with GI problems. I'm a believer in the grain free for dogs. |

| I have a special dog that would pretty much "Tie Up" like a horse with HYPP. We finally, out of desperation put him on Ol' Roy High Performance dog food, and it has solved all of our problems. We tired all the expensive stuff and none of it accopmlished what we needed. So now I use probably the cheapest dog food available and it works. Go Figure. |

Location: Where the buffalo roam | Go by Petcurean - incredibly expensive. I used to feed TOTW and had no issues, but when I went to switch my youngest mini aussies from his puppy food by GO to TOTW adult he started throwing up. We switched back and then introduced the adult (grain fee) GO and had no problems so just switched everyone that way. I had a dog with cancer and will only feed grain free. |

Location: Southwest Minnesota | Nutrisource Grain Free Lamb...no grain, no chicken protein. Poor pup has allergies bad and this seems to help along with a daily Zyrtec. He was itching so bad he would rub the hair off the sides of his nose. His coat looks great now and no more itching! |

Location: Willows, CA | Some things to know about "grain free" dog food. The issue is not grain in general, rather the fact that a lot of dogs do not do well with wheat, corn or soy in their food. All dog food that has a nugget or shaped form needs to have starch in the formulation to hold that shape together. As long as the starch source is not corn, wheat or soy, dogs will do fine, even benefit from some oatmeal, rice or even barley in the formulation, as long as the inclusion is low. The vast majority of grain free dog foods use potato for the starch source. In general, they list it several different ways on the ingredient list. If they had to lists all potato sources as simply potato, it would be the number one ingredient on the list by volume. Most people would not feed "Potato Dog Food". Grain free sounds much better. So, the issue is not keeping all grains of all kinds out of dog food at any level. The issue is not to feed a dog food that has corn, wheat or soy in the formulation. If you made a change to grain free and your dog does better, most likely, the elimination of the terrible three, corn, wheat and soy, are the reason, not the addition of potatoes in the diet. |

I was feeding Purina One but after tons of research switched to Victor. Victor has never had a recall that I can find and my dogs look MUCH better! I am also paying less for a healthier food. |

Before I had troubles getting mine to actually eat her dry food and she wouldn't eat for a few days (I was told if they're hungry they're going to eat) I triedf allt he brands (besides renew gold, did't know they made dog food!) with no luck and now with Royal Canine she eats this as soon as I put it down (like a real dog! She's never done that before ever since a pup). her coat is smoother and softer now too! |

Location: California | Science Diet. I have worked at a vet since I got my dog who is going on 4 this year. He is small so I can afford to feed it to him. I don't think I have ever heard or seen bad things about/from it. They make a hundred different types for every dogs different needs. |

I have one too! She's getting up there in age and got really bad arthritis in her hip.. I found a fantastic dog food that's made for seniors with added glucosamine and it's basically changed her life. She no longer hops around on 3 legs and she plays and runs with my lab all day long. We love our dobe! |

Location: Louisiana | Well looking online and at what's easily available to me, I was leaning towards Diamond Naturals. I was wondering if anyone has fed Premium Edge dog food? I like the ingredient list, and it's only slightly more $, but Diamond seems to have had several recalls. Also, it turns out my mom was feeding him Diamond Naturals when he got sick. The food had nothing to do with that, but in the past anytime he got sick we had to change food, he would refuse the old stuff. |

Location: Adopt a homeless pet - www.petfinder.com! | We went grain free when our pit mix was having skin issues. All of our dogs are on Taste of the Wild and doing great, we started on the Sierra Mountain Roasted Lamb formula and then I mistakenly bought a bag of the Pacific Stream Salmon and they are on that now - it smells like fish but they love it! Our cats are on Taste of the Wild now, too.
We get ours from petflow.com and use the auto-ship program. I get two bags at a time and it's free shipping.

| I have fed many of the foods already listed on this thread. Finally I have found the best food hands down. NULO. You can order it online and depending where you live some upscale type feed stores may carry it. I have 2 Labs and an english bulldog. They all do great on it. Especially my older 14 yr lab. Everything about him has improved since feeding this grain free food. They get dry mixed with a small portion of canned. Also another good website to research dog food is
