Thanks! I took a look at that and my current daily daily supplement has all of the same ingredients in it or he has access to same ingredients ( Like the himalayan salt part). LOl I already feed flax, SOy is kind of a no no for some horses so I won't feed it. |

I've heard good things about this stuff too, never personally used it but have heard some talk about it lately. |

| I tried it- my horse went to really acting crazy almost like his stomach was on fire ( I will say my horse is different than most) what seems to work for every body else doesn't usually work for him BUT I will say I put him on equi-sure just about 2-3 weeks ago and the guy told me to treat my first bottle like it was free lol!---( $125.00 )but I did and gave my boy 10cc 3x a day for the first week ( we were at a big show) then week 2 I gave him 10cc 2x a day now I'm doing 10cc in am and 5cc right before I ride, I know it hasn't been long but hes always been a cribber and I have only seen him crib 2x since I started this which is a huge difference and he has gained muscle , weight and is absolutely glowing- it has relly made a big difference in a short time and the cost is approx. 2.50 per 10cc if you buy the $125.00 bottle or its approx. $1.95 per 10cc if you buy the $300.00 bottle. I have tried many ulcer supps over the years succeed was the best I had used until this equi-sure. I hope this helps I know how frustrating ulcers are--- you can look on fb for pro earth and theres a lot of people who have posts about it |

This! Did your horse have a mane that was flipped? Once I treated with this protocol I noticed my horse felt better and his mane all laid on the same side. I backed off and his mane is flipping again. Not sure if it's his mineral balance or the stomach happy on the Equi-Sure. My two year olds and a OTT QH I'm starting all get it before saddling. I notice a comfortable ride for them and me. |

I gave my horse time off - 28 days on Gastro and during this time put him on SmartGut and changed his feed to RG and added Aloe Vera Juice. Use Ulcer Gard when hauling. Knock on wood, no problem since!

How does the Equi-Sure work? I have a couple of horses that can't tolerate omeprazole and apparently don't do well on ranitidine either. This is the third generation of this female line that we have trained and so far, Succeed has worked best for them. I was going to try GastroPlus again but there are lots of good reviews about equi-sure, and it would be cheaper than succeed or GP if I bought a big bottle. |

I have heard Equisure is good but it has corn oil as a main ingredient which is highly inflammatory. I called my colts trainer at the track and they keep all their racehorses on finishline U7 Gastric. I just ordered some of that. |

YEP!!!! I really like the results of the Excel!!!!! My horses love it and do great on it.. My colt we figured has an ulcer from mouth pain ( Long story) and wants him on Ranitidine. The colt is an INTERNAL worrier. I figured I would try the U7 just at recommendation of his track trainer. But heck YES!! Since being on Excel my colt is making smoking runs again. I am very pleased!!!

How much Excel do you give? Even at the 2 scoops twice a day it is around $1.15 a day, just not sure they will eat that much. |

I feed it to my horse at 2 scoops twice a day and he eats it all up....licks his bucket clean and he is picky! This is also the first time in a long time he has looked so good, he is still a little cinchy when you tighten the saddle but he now stands when I bring the saddle and set it on him and begin the saddling process, before he moved back and forth. |

I feed 2 scoops 2x a day to the running horses and 1 scoop 2x a day to the non running ones. My horses lick every bit up!! They actually sift through to get at it first. |

| I also feed Excell to one mare. She is a picky eater and she loves it. I feed the 2 scoops once a day now but I did the loading dose and she ate it really well. The scoop isn't that big. |

I give a quarter of a tube the day before, day of and day after the show. Its worked well. I've used other supplements and for my horses Ulcer Guard works the best. I don't want another $3000 bill! LOL! Plus every tube I buy I get $5.00 back from Merial Rewards program. |

Thank you for the information...I hear you with the expensive vet bill! I know I'm going to have to maintain her forever but would like to do so in a way that I don't break the bank. I gave a whole tube the day before and 1/2 the day of....I'm going to try how you do it and see how it goes.

| Yesterday I picked up 2 bottles of the 300mg ranitidine pills from my vet. 250 count bottles. Very reasonably priced. Same as ONE tube of gastro guard. I'm going to use these instead for pre race use. |
