You are good enough for whatever standard you set. No one decides that but you.

Nope, don't care what others think..... I don't do bling, so my stuff looks plain Jane, but is good quality. I started doing what a friend (thanks for teh tip Mandabear) has been doing years ago. She saved up everything they won and at the end of the season she had enough to buy a new saddle.
So, last year we won enough to get a new Bob Marshall that I had made exactly like I wanted too. Now we won most everything in the 4 and 5D, some in the 3D and once we got a 2D check. But guess what... the money spends the same.....
So, if you can afford it, and want it.... buy it and use it. And best of all, enjoy it!

D, You are welcome!!

To the OP, I have blingy tack sets (my husband is good to me). Am I fast? Nope, but she isn't a 1D horse and I am ok with that. We continue to have fun, get better and I write down my times and aim to beat my last time. Who cares what others think? "Haters gonna, hate, hate, hate..."

I buy what I want and I dont ever think I'm not good enough for anything I just dont think this way, no body should. I have blingy tack, plain tack and nylon tack. What ever I want and need that is what I'm getting.

I had that block..I bought good clean tack but nothing flashy...until my little mare with the Bladder and Kidney stones kinda proved the vets wrong. Even if I didn't "deserve" flashy tack she did, LOL!!! Had the coolest little headstall made for her with feathers and arrows cause "she is a warrior" and Kayla from RockStar Custom leather actually added those words as a surprise for me on the throatlatch. It is my pride and joy.

What other people might think is the last thing I consider when choosing tack.  If I like it and can afford it - I buy it!  I'm a stickler for quality leather and will opt for that over bling...but I LOVE custom stuff.

I will dress my 4D mare up in a heartbeat. As for myself, well I'm not skinny so I wouldn't dare attract attention to the size of my big behind by wearing bling jeans.

I do what I want! LOL!
