Bear - 2016-09-27 8:57 AM We need to keep a few things in mind. First, Trump held his own without falling into the trap of making huge personal insults. People were waiting for him to lower the boom on her about a number of things, and he held back a lot, however there will be two more debates. No mention was made of ObamaCare, the Clinton Foundation, Benghazi, the "re-set" with Russia, the Russian-uranium deal, or "pay-for-play". The email scandal was mentioned, albeit briefly, and not because Lester Holt brought it up. She kept mentioning her "fact checkers" but told a few whoppers of her own.....such as her reference to the TPP as the "gold standard". I thought Trump did a good job on the (irrelevant) "birther" issue, and he did a good job of pointing out how that issue was initially raised by members of the Clinton camp back in 2008. The talking heads and pundits mainly seemed to give the "win" to Hillary, yet the post debate surveys mostly gave a clear "win" to Trump......even though he hasn't used any big artillery....yet. Yes, those surveys are not " scientific", but I do think they say something. After all, in recent history, the polls have not been all that predictive. Just remember, Romney absolutely pummeled Obama in the first debate in 2012. Reagan did poorly in his first debate. We all know how those turned out.
I hope and pray you are right. BTW, I think in the next debate he needs to wear something that will scramble the signals to Hillarys earpiece. It's not really fair that he has to debate her whole team. I would love to see Hillary actually have to think on her feet without outside help.Â
She threw him the bait by bringing up personal crap without it being part of the questions asked by Lester. Trump didn't bite, he may have had the angry face and stance but he didn't swallow her hook. He'll surely be ready for the Oct 9th Debate - only problem it's CNN's Anderson Cooper ... |

I guess they don't get that it wasn't up to either candidates to bring up what they wanted to talk about. It was a debate where the moderator gave specific questions to be answered.
Yep I agree |

I watched the first hour, could not watch anymore... No matter how you spin it, Trump was unprepared, was a fish out of water, and performed poorly. Hillary was the normal polished politician and that **** smirk, just want to slap it!
Hillary won the debate, though I don't think she won over any undecided voters. Tump needs to say something of substance, anything of substance. His few zingers and lack of cohesive thought/speech was absolutely atrocious.

Compared to Barack Obama, Donald Trump is the 2nd coming of Christ.
He is what he is and if he's not a polished robot like Hillary, all the better. It makes him real people. |

What I saw was a practiced, experienced, polled and scripted life long politician vs a business man in his first ever debate on a political stage. Frankly she should have totally waxed him, and she didn't.
I think next time he'll be a better at the 'game' of debates now that he's had this one.
And I think a scambling devise is a great idea. That memory that was sooooo 'don't remember' before is now just miraculously perfect years after the fact. |

He asked how can America keep the same old tactics. As for the personal attacks Mr. Trump did very well. As for Hilary personal attacks very political. |

If he goes into the next one riding on his over inflated ego instead of spending his time taking ALOT of serious debate lessons....we are toast! People should have voted the primaries smarter because now we are stuck with this idiot and we have supreme court justices, our national security, and our soverienty as a nation with our constitution and bill of rights all hanging on someone who just totally blew it last night. I dont care what anybody screams about the moderator or the questions, if he was any form of presidential, he would have handled it anyway and AT LEAST took advantage of the opportunities givin him. She even gave him a merry christmas happy birthday present by stating she has alot of stamina and even withstood 11 hours of congressional hearings and he failed to open that gift. He totally let it slide! YES, lets talk about those 11 hours Hillary!! Uuggghh. |

Proves she would never make it in the real work world where many work 12 hour shifts 5 days a week. I do bet that is the longest she ever had to do something in the last 30 years...

He missed a lot of opportunities. He also took 2 or 3 kicks to the ribs from Lester for every pat on the back he gave her.
Who are the moderators for the next 2 debates? Do we actually get someone fair?
CNN's Anderson Cooper & ABC's Martha Raddatz... Don't know a lot about Martha but Anderson will surely treat Trump unfairly I could be wrong.

My thoughts? This country is on a path that is not sustainable, at all. 20 trillion in debt, 11 states that now have more people on welfare then they do people working, immigrants pouring in by the tens of thousands, we are even shipping them in, but there are no jobs so they will be completely dependant on the government. The same government that has run up 20 trillion in debt and sees no problem with that number, just promises more free stuff.
?The definition of insanity is doing the same thing but expecting different results, and Hillary will be more of the same at best. We need something different and Trump is all we have, love him or hate him, he's it. I could go on about the Constitution, Supreme Court etc. but you get my drift. He could be great, he may suck, but he is not Hillary so he has my vote. |

Here is a detailed description of his tax plan. He has plenty of policy details outlined on a wide array of topics, if you are interested. I would go straight to his web site.
https://www.donaldjtrump.com/positions/tax-reform
The media is allowing liberals to make disparaging remarks about Reagan's tax reforms. They turned "trickle down" into a synonym with increased budget deficits and "tax breaks for the rich".
Trump believes that across-the-board tax reductions, including a lowering of the corporate tax rate, will result in increased economic growth, which will actually, and seemingly paradoxically, increase revenues to the fed. Increasing taxes will not stimulate the economy.
That concept simply defies logic.
Anyway, read his tax reform proposals. |

I really like what he said about the smear campaign Hillary has going on. About all the money she is spending to smear his image and he is still winning in most polls. She has been airing smear commercials about Donald now for months now and I have seen very few about Hillary. He is standing back and waiting, which I think is a smart move. |

i can understand your thoughts. If anything at all, even one little doubt, that i needed in my head to make me feel ok about voting for Trump,It would be Hillary put our lives in danger,it was bad, very very bad,(meant to be funny)She put our military in great danger, she put the lives of our people in benghazi in danger, she knew they were in trouble and she did nothing. Her"what does it matter now?"(yes, she said and meant it)attitude of the men that were lost is what you will get when her smug ways get voted in.If you can honestly say that these things dont matter(im not saying YOU,im talking in general)If you can read of all the people who have disappeared in the clinton circle(murdered, disappeared, found dead ETC) If you heard Hillary say last night, and Im not quoting, cause im sure someone will fact check, lol, that Hillary wants less prisons, and more second chances for criminals,If you believe that a higher percent inheritance tax on what your family has lived to build and pass on to you is ok, If taking money for her clinton foundation from the very countries that have murdered USA folks, and continue to come into our country and murder our Americans is ok to vote for,I can only hope you find peace in your heart at the final countdown. NONE of this is directed at you, again I say you,as any American that can look themselves in the mirror, after putting her in charge of all of our lives. YES,shes polished, she should be,shes been dirtying the silver for a long time, she should know how to polish it.Im happy to see you posted in a positive and caring way,I sure hope more like you take yet another look at what may possibly happen to ALL OF US> |
