Also, my senior stallion, was by Frenchmans Guy and out of a Peponita x Hollywood Gold mare.  He won a lot, was a 2X Badlands Circuit pro rodeo finalist.  You'd never have known he was all cow bred, to watch him run.

Where does one shop for a cutting reject? Track rejects are so easy to find!

She had an accident & fractured a bone in her hock about a year ago.  So she's had a lot of time off.  I've been back on her for about 3 months now and so far she's staying sound.  If she physically holds together, she is going to be a lot of fun.

My best barrel horse and producer of very good barrel horses was a Docs Prescription mare.  I will take those lines all day!

My first barrel horse...kys magic gunsmoke placed second at NBHA Colonial Nationals, and 8th in the NBHA Youth finals in 2014. Has many other 1D runs with the little girl I sold him to. He is Reminic and Gunsmoke bred. If you Google his name it will all come up.

We bought him as a three year old untouched stud. Now he is a super star!!!!

So my new guy is super laid back and mellow I was thinking of a barn name for him and I thought of the turtle on finding Nemo named "crush" so I was going to call him crush but with a K (krush) and then I thought I could change his registered name to " A krushed prescription " or krush my prescription but I don't want to sound like a drug addict LOL

Shelli Creacy's horse Nico Suave is a Playgun and I think ran the fastest time at the WPRA Finals. If not it was one of the fastest runs all week. Then she won the American qualifier at Glen Rose with another phenomenal run. Shelly Morgan has won lots of pro rodeo $ on at least 2 different cutting bred horses but I don't know the exact bloodlines.

All I ride is cowbred and I love my current open horse. He is by Rap Cat (Highbrow Cat) out of a Freckles Merada Mare. My up and coming barrel Horse is a 3 yo filly by Third Cutting out of a Lectric Playboy daughter. She is talented, smart, and fast! The best one I've trained was a daughter of Bobs Hickory Rio out of a Smart Little Pistol daughter. She's a freak and sooo talented. This is a video of one of the girls friends riding her (first time to swing a leg on her) and running 1D against over 100 head (with tough horses). https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10153440179477552&id=249...

Lectric Playboys are awesome! There aren't many out there either. My sister's own son won our state hs horse of the year competing in four events as a five year old.

So no one answered me (lol) the papers I posted, is this a good cross for barrel racing/performance? I see a lot of the same lines people are mentioning and I'm getting excited!

She is out Special Nu Spot, by Spots Hot, 2nd dam is Nu I would.  Dam to my mare is a half sister to Special Nu Baby, who I believe set an NCHA earnings record last year. She's got a pretty strong maternal side for cutting, I got a good deal on her a year ago when I bought her.

I love a peptoboonsmal!!! We have two, one who is by an own son and a filly out of an own daughter. They are BRILLIANT. They can be a little tough- they are so smart that you kinda have to make them think it's their idea!! But, both of ours are super athletic and fast! I'll be starting both of them this spring when I, myself get off of broodmare duty!

Thanks!  Yes, I have friends that keep up on all of that and they had said that!
I totally lucked into this mare a year ago. She'd been shown in some reined cowhorse events and had won a little money.  I stumbled onto her in a Facebook group, and a friend went and checked her out for me.  I ended up buying her sight unseen and had her shipped up here.
Believe it or not I bought her for my husband to do mounted shooting off of, but she's so nice on the barrels already, I haven't let him on her yet-- LOL!
We actually flushed an embryo out of her this year, to Firewater Finale so that will be exciting to see in this spring.
I'd like to flush her to a cutting horse this year, but there's lots of possibilities with her pedigree.
