It reminds me of the Pearl, Vegas Resort, Cantbullythisguy mix up. Crap happens, greed happens, stupidity happens. Hard to tell the difference sometimes.
Has anyone heard or has it been posted how this "situation" was or has been resolved?

Last I read the resulting colt did finally get papers, was gelded, and either given away or sold to someone who will, if memory serves me right, never compete with him. As far as the vet paying for the screw up I guess that's still up in the air.

In the case of the Fulton/Streakin Wink mix up that they posted about on FB, it sounds like Fultons made it right
(and he's already sold?
) but they mixed the papers on the two colts and the one they wanted to stand at stud
(pedigree wise
) was gelded and the one they got had the wrong papers. Sucky situation but great on them for willing to step up and fix it!

I have a feeling this happened to me, my palomino gelding has a LF and a RH sock with white hooves, and a star and strip. His papers dont list the socks, and the facial marking isnt very precise
(this was back when AQHA was still doing the "draw in the markings" instead of sending in pictures
).. The breeder has about a dozen or so colts every year, most of them palomino, and the mares are all bred pretty similar. I've always half wondered if there wasn't a mix up with another colts papers. But hes in his late teens and a gelding so it never bothered me enough to look into

When you buy as babies off thea ranch, I can see that happening pretty easily. It would not be a bad idea to have the horse tested again to make sure you did get the correct horse/paper combination. If you buy from someone who buys and sells horses regularly, making sure the papers are in order with transfers up to date will help eliminate many problems. I check tattoo numbers and everything. Papers not in order, I move on. Makes life so much easier.
