We have Purina 12:12 out in loose form and my 2 barrel horses get Platinum Performance. All of our runs have a white salt block in them.

I leave trace minerals blocks out 24/7. I think the salt encourages them to drink plenty of fresh water. But I don't think they get enough from a salt lick to meet their mineral requirements. So I also feed ShoGlo minerals. It comes in a pelleted form. 1-2Oz daily.

Broodmare/colts - GroStrong and salt blocks.
