Location: Smack Dab in the Middle | So far, he's doing really well. No fevers, his appetite is improving and the swelling is slowly going down. His ultrasound looked good yesterday and the surgeons are very happy with what they are seeing. His internal med resident adores him and sent me pictures of him this morning getting loved on by her :) He's begging for cookies, so he must feel better, LOL. |

I got to bring him home Saturday night, and he is doing ok. We are battling some leg edema--which completely freaked me out at first, since leg swelling was the first thing I noticed when he got sick. He's getting VERY grumpy about being a pin cushion--3 injections of antibiotics every day, one of which is large doses of Penicillian. It hurts, he's swollen and sore, and just grumpy about it, but he's eating, and bright eyed. But he's alive, and hopefully we'll get through the last 5 days of antibiotics, and he'll start liking me again. |
