Location: Running my kids somewhere.		I used to do partial running braids with colored ribbons.   But I was braiding draft horses and hitches.

A running braid is much faster to do than a 3 plait.
But like everyone has already said... they fall out easily.

I choose to just let my horses hair fly in the wind anyways.

 A couple of our team roping horses have very long manes that get in the dally if not braided.  Sometimes I do lots of small braids and other times I do the running, depends on my mood.

Location: Texas		I have no idea how to even do a running braid. I stick to four or five regular braids, or just two where my hands usually are.
