Location: Slipping down the slope of old age. Boo hoo. | I recorded it and watched it this morning. Disappointed. It reminded me of the years-ago night-time soap Dynasty with cowboy hats except Dynasty was better. And, apparently, they wanted to make sure they got their money's worth out of that black helicopter. It was in practically every scene. And the entire 'branding' ranch workers thing was creepy.

Gosh, agreed. The helicopter was a bit much, come on!! It did remind me of the show Dallas..."cowboys" and oil.... |

I don't get that one either ?? I have PlayStation vue so don't get a whole lot of channels. |

| Yellowstone was poorly written and BAD! Disappointing because the scenery was beautiful and the storyline has potential. Maybe next week will be better.

I can't watch it but as far as the scenery goes it was shot partly just down the road from me in my home town. |

The scenery was magnificent and I, too, had hope -- but there was nothing to draw me in to the characters. I also plan to watch the next episode and hope since the shallow characters have been 'introduced', it will move on to great story-telling and character development..... I did appreciate the close-ups of handsome Kevin's face...β¦ :)

but thats me No kidding! He had to go on the view and voice his opinion, entertainers should learn to keep thier mouths shut when it comes to politics.
Yep, Kevin needed to keep his mouth shut. These overpaid entertainers seem to have no idea there are many conservatives like me out there who figured him for better than that and flipped channels when his soap opera premiered.

It's either Paramount or CMT channel. I just switched from directv to dish so I'm not really sure. |

Like the wild horse (miraculously halter broke) backing quietly out of the trailer, or the calf pulling where the 1 month old calf runs off immediately. Otherwise, it was OK. I totally agree. How hard is it to get it right? Can't they hire real ranchers as consultants, goodness. The story line jumped around a lot. The girl who plays his daughter drove me nuts, what a horrible actress she is. I will keep watching it, as there isn't much on TV that's good anymore. Anything with horses in it, I will watch! LOL! They had many real cowboys on set for the taping, but honestly real life doesn't sell. Had this conversation with one of the stunt men from the show. Funny how you can pick out people just from the way they ride.

I read that Tim McQuay and Andrea Fappani were involved with some of their nice reining horses -- in fact, I think the 'dead' truck driver in the opening scene was Tim McQuay....???? |

There was an article in America's Horse this month about the horses in Yellowstone. Kevin's horse is by Spooks Gotta Gun. There's Bueno Chexinc, Shining Spark, Doc's Hickory, and Smart Little Lena offspring also.
Tim McQuay, Andrea Fappani, and Tom Foran (all AQHA champions) will play themselves in it at some point. It was an interesting article. . . . |

I know. I love to pick out the non-horsemen actors from the riders who sit a horse comfortably. Tom Selleck sits a horse beautifully but it has to be the right horse. Big and an easy goer. The whole cast of High Chapparel were good riders. Manolito's horse was my favorite TV horse ever. |
