Very clearly states on the Pink Buckle website:

In the case of stallions leaving the program or dying –> Within any given year, if you have nominated your horse (sired by a current Pink Buckle Stallion) and continue to pay your nominations yearly, your horse will always be eligible to run in the Pink Buckle Barrel Race.

Example — > ‘Stallion X’ sired horses are eligible to run at the Pink Buckle Barrel Race as long as they are nominated into the program each year starting in 2018 or each year of their life. If ‘Stallion X’ drops out of the Pink Buckle Stallions list, your foal will be eligible to run at the Pink Buckle Barrel Race as long as ‘Stallion X’ was Pink Buckle eligible the year your foal was conceived. Foal must be nominated based on schedule outlined above.

Danny Ray put on Facebook yesterday that it was understood that the two stallions that he sold would continue to stand at his place. Apparently, this did not work out and he has purchased AS GOOD AS NICK GETS who will be a PINK BUCKLE stallion.

What a big baby, why sell them then?

This has probably been answered but if a stud is added this year do his older offspring get grandfathered in?

I believe this year was the only year older offspring could be grandfathered in... after this year the horse must be nominated as a foal to be eligible.

So, retorical question - if I have a horse by a PB stallion who i thought about nominating this year and running in the open race, but didn’t (let’s say the dates conflicted with something already planned)...I’m SOL for all future years because I didn’t pay in this year? Was that advertised?

I don’t have a PB horse, so this truly is retorical out of curiosity.

Yes. Aged horses have until the end of this year to nominate. And they have said that plenty of times, its been very plainly stated, and they have told people multiple times to pay in now or be out forever.

Danny said he was putting AGANG in the Pink Buckle for 2019. Does that mean since AGANG is a new stallion to Pink Buckle I can nominate my AGANG mare in for 2019????

Yes he is going to be PB.    DR  is using one of the spots that was filled  with one of the sold stallions and filling it with AGANG.

He will then own one more spot to fill as he chooses.

Probably because, if the rumor mill is true, a million bucks is pretty tough to pass up. Plus he was supposed to stand them for 3 years so he’d still be making money off of them even though he didn’t own them.

The buyers made an agreement, and then chose to back out on it. Danny moved forward by adding another Great Stallion to his barn and into one of the slots he owns. I cant blame him for doing what he did. Yes, both Stallions brought great prices. I would have let them go well! A deal is a deal! Good Luck Danny Ray and Victory Farms!

I don’t own a PB eligible horse like I said so I haven’t paid one bit of attention to any of it to be completely honest. That’s good that they are making that clear.

Tit for Tat on that deal. One should always read the fine print. And never try to out hustle a hustler.

That has nothing to do but the Pink Buckle thats not their business it was between DR and the new owners.

I really hope they post a list of new stallions soon is greatly affects my prospect buying choices at the moment and heritage is this week. Also it is a great opportunity for someone to make a deal with DR and slide into that Pink Buckle slot that is open.
