I hate to throw cold water on a noble cause, but if this GoFundMe account has raised $500K in 3 days, then it will take over 16 years to raise $1 Billion, assuming the contributions keep rolling in at the same rate. We need a helluva lot more.

It was a satirical stunt based on the ridiculous fad of school children holding bake sales to raise the national deficit.
Well, you have to look it up, but what started out as a joke ended up with a crowd of over 80,000 people showing up.
