I doubted this story from the beginning...it was just too weird.
I mean really? If you stop and think about the story...
You had two Nigerians walking around Chicago at 2am with a noose, bleach and beating this guy that is an actor (and the Nigerians knew what show he was on) that just so happens to be walking around at the same time and they knew he was gay?!
And to boot...they were yelling that it was MAGA Country? Chicago is not that.
The face/narrative of this story from the beginning was just a wee bit out there if anyone really thought about it.
Oh, just the fact that he went home with the noose around his neck was the clincher for me. That was just absurd. Can't help but wonder if the two Nigerians are here legally. I always wonder when they're called out as "Nigerians" rather than just a couple of guys looking to make a buck.
His sandwich- he went home with his sandwich, lol. Beat up, a noose put around his neck, bleach poured on him, he “fought back” but he managed to hang onto a sandwich- here’s your sign.

Jussie Smollett was being paid $65,000 per episode for his co-starring role on Empire. Average season has 18 episodes—total salary =$1.17 million. He was dissatisfied with his income. Oh, the oppression he must have endured... |

Police officers think the scratch on his face was self-inflicted. Kinda makes sense. Wouldn't want those puffy guys doing any "inflicting."

I guess that I am still shaking my head as to "how" this stunt would help him get more money on the TV show???? That being said, I heard a report that he had a music record coming out and wanted "publicity" and "recognition" for sales, which "maybe" makes more sense. Still a pitiful excuse for the stunt ..... Hopefully, he will be prosecuted and certainly have to pay restitution to the Chicago Police Dept. for time and money spent during the investigation. |

It passed on a voice vote. This was the same bill that was pased last year but never voted on by the house. This is at least the 200th time this has been brought up since 1900. It is allready muder in fed/state law they are trying to add it as a hate crime. |
