I thought about you yesterday when we were in W-M and I saw the triple antibiotic cream. Glad the "itchy" is gone and hope everything is dissolved by Tuesday that's supposed to be!
Hope the stitches are dissolved too, that makes me cringe to think the Doctor has to removed them himselve.  |

Thanks for checking .... yes, the stitches have dissolved or, at least, I don't feel them. I still have to put thick antibiotic ointment in four times a day so my vision is blurry in that eye ..... I can use that as a reason for lousy typing .... LOL Second surgery (rt. eye) is scheduled for tomorrow (Wed.) at 10:30 ...... Never fear the surgery ....just John's driving .... LOL |

The second surgery yesterday went "about" as well as could be expected. This eye only has 7-8 stitches. However, it took two lab techs SEVEN stabs to hit a vein (3 tries in rt. hand ......; 2 tries in rt arm ..... 1 try in left hand ......FINALLY 1 try in the left arm). Unfotunately, I now feel like I am blind in one eye and can't see out of the other...... LOL This should be the "selfie" of me "discussing" John's driving .... LOL .... I took back the wheel today!

Location: Displaced Iowegian | Update: 2nd surgery - right eye - I had a post op appointment today. It had been a "hellish" week of pain and blurry vision. However, that seems to have improved after the surgeon removed dead skin cells on my eye by scraping them off with a Q-Tip ..... this had been SOOOOOO much fun .... LOL |

My next appointment is August 2nd for post-op on the right eye and pre-op (cataract) for the left eye. The left eye cataract surgery is scheduled for August 5th. They haven't scheduled the right eye cataract surgery. Fortunately, I have a pretty high pain tolerance. Bright lights have been the most bothersome. Of course, that includes the computor .... hence no posts from me .... that should make some happy......LOL |

LOL .... It has been so darn hot here that (lucky for them) no one has complained that I have not been in the kitchen sweating over a hot stove ..... I do have a warning for the youngsters here ..... the condition (pterygium) is primarily caused by sun damage.... Little did I know (YEARS ago) that I should have worn better sunglasses !!!!!!!!!!! |

My eyes are so sun sensitive I can barely go out even in cloudy weather without sunglasses. I sometimes get odd looks but I can't help it. I wore cheapos when I was really young, but went to the good ones in high school. And thank goodness Chan wears his pretty much all the time too, on the tractor or in the field. . . . Yi-Pee, so glad for you that is the last one for you, I know these surgerys have been really hard on you and its time for you to get this over with, man I sure in the heck would not be wanting to go threw what you have been going threw.. Check in when you can, |
