| Pray pray and pray!! Thank you all so much for everything this has been a nightmare and still is. The support and love all over the world has been nothing but amazing though! Ryan is still in very very critical conditions pieces of **** terrorists will not win. Knox man needs his daddy and I need my husband. The head ortho and head trauma surgeon are out of surgery and spoke with me. They were very happy that Ryan was stable enough to last 5 hours so they could work on him. I believe it was because the chaplin and I talked with him before going in for surgery and prayed with him. He moved his eyes twice when i was talking to him. His blood pressure and heart rate went down when talking to him this morning. Dr. had to take a lot of bones, muscle and tissue out of the pelvic area, considering they were dead. They will have to do a big skin graph for that area. They need to control the bleeding. They are not done in there. They will continue to cut, clean and take out dead areas. They had to amputate his left foot to his higher end of calf/shin area. He did save my name on his tattoo he said  :) They had to do that because of all the dead tissue, bone, and muscle. The more dead stuff in his body the worse off he will be. I have been very vocalized about getting everything dead out so he can start healing and fighting the infection. The dead is causing infection so they need to continue to get it out. He is still very very sick. They are continuing the antibiotics that he needs. His blood pressure medicine is down to 2 instead of 3. HIS HEART RATE IS DOWN!!! His kidneys are still not working but he didnt need the dialysis machine in the or. His labs are high not good. They are needing them down. They will go back in the or tomorrow morning. Today has been a good day overall. Praying for comfort, his heart rate to stay low, his lab numbers to get low, his blood pressure to get more stable, him to be able to get a feeding tube, he needs calories to fight this infection, and his body to start to heal inside. Pray pray and pray! So very thankful for our good lord and prayer warriors. He is working his miracles!! asia |

Thanks for the undate Dave, I keep coming back here to check for up dates on Ryan and I pray that they are all good, this was a better update then I was thinking it was going to be, My heart skiped a bit when I saw the update, was worried it was going to be a bad one, but this was better then I thought.. Ryan keeping you in my thoughts and prayers |

Overall an uneventful night, which is good. Blood pressure is stable with hardly any medicine, heart rate has been great, kidneys still not working but on crrt dialysis, his blood needs to start clotting a little in all the right places not the wrong places, his labs need improvement, and all but he is fighting!! He is my fighter. He is surgery now so please pray which i know you all do great!!

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas |  Thank you Gail and Dave for sharing Ryans journey with us on here, all I can think about is this man and his family right now, he needs prayers and I hope that more will join in on here, I would love to see this thread being blown up with PRAYERS, he needs all the prayers he can get, so I hope to see this thread being bumped up with more prayers..

| There are very powerful prayer warriors on this website! I experienced it first hand. Sending prayers from Holland, Texas to this soldier and his loving family! God is almighty and hears our prayers, each and every one. I pray for complete healing for this young man so he can get back to his family as soon as possible. |

| Update from Asia (Ryan's wife) Thursday morning August 22, 2019 Ryan is still in very very critical condition. Not out of any woods but he is here. Pray pray and pray! So very thankful for our good lord and our prayer warriors. He is working his miracles. Ryan is fighting cause yes he is a fighter and wont stop. I have continued to tell him that. I need him and his son needs him.
His surgery today went as good as it could go. They did not have to take anything more. They closed his left leg and his right arm they will skin graph in next couple weeks. Pray that those are successfully taken care of. Pray also that he heals inside his body. Right top thigh/hip/pelvic area looks good as far as his dead areas and wounds. They will work on all that a couple weeks down the road. The Doctors here are amazing, they are doing everything they can.
There are 2 strands of bacteria in blood. We need to kill those!! Pray the strep gets killed with the antibiotics! Pray hard that the Afghanistan bacteria gets killed with drugs, it is resistant to antibiotics but they are hoping to finding different ones.
That one is the top of their concern. Those Afghanistan A***H****s! They placed a feeding tube past his stomach, so pray he takes those well. He needs nutrition to fight! Tomorrow they're hopefully taking the day off to give his body a break. If all goes good tonight they will do just that and continue surgery Friday. Lord please give him the strength he needs. He is a fighter. We love him oh so much. Please pray everyone ?????thank you to all for praying and giving it to the Lord.
