Yesterday was a sad to day to realize that THIS website who boasts SO many "political pundit" members who take EVERY opportunity to make their stances known, couldn't even acknowledge the Veterans who made that possible .....shameful!

Knowing what Dave and Gail are going through, YOU should apologize for speaking out like this. Sometimes real Life trumps a public forum. We should all be offering support, prayers and love. Not complaining.

THANK YOU Dave and Gail for everything you do. Continued prayers for you both.

Stacey we have know you since you were a kid!

BTW Mr. Dave had just made a super fast run on his horse.  Shortly after he had his heart attack!  ( note to self..no more fast runs :) )

I’m just so glad he’s ok! I’m also so happy that you got to spend Veteran’s Day with your own Vetern. I just wish the circumstances had been better.

Do I need to send Dave a roll of quarters to ride the horse at the grocery store instead?

Thank You to all who have served.....

NJJ you are so not classy

Perhaps YOU should read more carefully .... this was NOT aimed at the website but to those PUNDITS who post their b*tches and complaints every day, on THIS website, about our country but can't take the time to THANK THOSE VETERANS who made it possible for them to do so ...... I am sorry if that was taken out of context .....

Perhaps you should have read what Gail posted and simply addressed that your thread was not pointed at her or this site, might have instead called out those who you had in mind. Another missed opportunity NJJ.

I did not take this comment as directed to my family or myself.  However I did think it was directed at Bear and his friends.

We should never judge another persons patriotism or their faith in God.   And for the record Bear has supported every program we have had over the year that supports our troops.   Including writing a big check over 5K to help build a smart home for an amputee solider.  I don't agree with him on many things but I don't question whether he supports our troops.   People please remember ...just because someone is a veteran doesn't  necessarily make them a great person.  There are plenty of "turds" in the military as well as in life.   Veteran's Day should be a daily occurance and we should also be equally grateful to our Law Enforcement Officers and Fire Fighters.

It was NOT pointed at Bear .... he and I have had many very educational debates and "actually" agree on many things .... not so much on others but truly "respect" each other ....

I sure did not see what Norma posted as being directed at BHW or at Dave and Gail, just to the ones that post on and make political threads, sometimes I post on those threads myself but was not offened at all in what she posted, I just wanted to make darn sure I did Thank all the Veterans on that special day for making this a free country and being able to Bitc* and compalin about things we dont see eye to eye with others on here. What she posted didnt Offend me at all, I was just late to the party thats all..

Some of Ryan's teammates came to cheer him on in rehab!  Ryan didn't sign up for thanks.  He signed up because he believed in the mission. He believes in his country.

These men are SOF - Special Operators - teammate work and trust is extrememly important.   I learn alot about my son who is SOF and about loyalty from him.  So all of us please let's get on team America.  We can disagree about policies but let's not tear each other apart of assume an air of arrogance for one reason or another.

All gave some ...some gave all.    What draws us together has to be greater than what pulls us apart.

I wasn’t offended. But when both of NJJ’s posts are passive/aggressive with the sole intent of stirring the pot...especially when one side of her mouth is trying to say she wants to honor the day, but the other side is trying to clearly shame someone for not posting about it...it makes you question her true motives and what she’s hoping to achieve.

While I applaud her for posting in honor of Veterans Day, the snarky comment in the OP and the follow up one totally ruined why she posted to begin with.

I think everybody could read into what she was saying in her post she said it well, It was directed at the political posts, she was not attacking BHW, I think it was just a opportunity to try to stir up a mess.. Sorry..  had to say my piece and wont comment anymore. Its all done....

I didn't know NJJ was the BHW hall monitor.

Much love and respect to our military. Thank you!

I'm glad Dave is on the mend.

Totally beyond me why political threads are considered by NJJ "complaining" in any sense of the word.  I find them very interesting and informative.  A good opportunity to throw in your political views.  Why people like NJJ, Mecon and jd&wxyz drop in to throw a monkey in the wrench is also beyond me.  If you don't like the subject then don't click on it.  You NJJ just made this Veterans Day thread into an oops political thread.  Shame on you.

......and God bless our President who is being forced to defend himself every minute of the day from a charge that even a professor of Constitutional law (and a Democrat) is quoted as saying "there is no crime here."

Get well Dave, I didn't know about this.
