I'm sure we can all speculate on and on. The good news for Mary and Latte is they remain together. The bad news is that the lawyers (liars) and the court system are still in the picture. I hope that everything will be resolved quickly and that all parties can move forward in peace. Now time for me to get back to work. Really? How can you blame this on lying lawyers? If the contract would have been followed this would have never happened. If you want to blame someone for this mess blame the person that didn't honor the contract. Correct btw....i saw that post......don't buy wranglers then........
Giggle....I've gotten a couple posts deleted this morning. I'm on a roll!!! |

I am having a hard time believing any of this. NO business minded individual would pay this much money for a GELDING that is currently injured, I WOULD HOPE! Even if he has a fantastic career ahead of him and wins the world 5 more times, he will NEVER win that money back. I believe fully in the sale, however I think the price was a serious case of GRANDSTANDING. I know what Stitch brought when he was sold as a sound horse with more world titles under his belt, it was no where near 850k!!!
Don't you get it? Apparently all that is basically paid for him is 85k, some court costs and lawyers costs. And then I guess down the road there may be a separate judgement |

Location: AL | I had thought the point of today's auction was to give an actual $$ value to this LLC's only asset (since the judge didn't want to do this and Cheri's figure to settle was $250,000 "reportedly") to dissolve the LLC/contract; Cheri's part of LLC 10%. So, Cheri gets the 10% plus there's additional undetermined settlement, just asking. |

My issue with it is... what idiot would run him that far?? What would you do in the event that you were the one stuck with him at 849k with the prayer that Byron or whomever was bidding on their behalf hit him again? I would have let him go for that kind of money!! He is a GELDING!! That has ONE world title under his belt. |

It is not complicated. Party A did not pay party B per a contract that party A himself wrote. Very simple. Seems like he got away with it too, keeps the horse and not out any personal $$.
I was thinking the same thing. They aren't out anything except they've gained publicity and a pitty party. Shazaaaam |

There are people out there with lots of money. The contending bidder has bought high profile horses in the past. They probably knew that the Walkers were going to buy him back, why not make them pay? It isn't over by a long shot. Now they probably ought to be worried about the other suit. |
