Location: n.c. | Dad's surgery went very well. the Dr. is still in shock. Dad had aneurysm's on his kidneys.
Dr. didn't give any guarantees as to whether Dad would even make it through surgery.
Dad came through with flying colors. He's past the critical 48 hrs post-surgery and still
doing good. He will be moved out of ICU today to a private room.
The Dr. told us he was up all nite before Dad's surgery worrying about everything that could go wrong.
Mom gave the Dr. an angel to put in his pocket. Dr. kept the angel, said it got really, really hot 2 to 3 times
during Dad's surgery. So, I guess Dad and the Dr. had an angel watching over him.
Dad has rehab starting next week. Will probably last a month.
Thank you all for praying for Dad. It really helped him pull through. |

Location: Texas!!! | Please add me to your prayer list. I have had 3 months of bad health issues. Had a biopsy on Friday and we will find out if I have Ovarian Cancer, sometime this week. Prayers that the tumor is benign. I am scheduled for a hysterectomy on June 10th. |

Location: Georgia | Please say a prayer for my daughter and her husband. They tried 5 years to get pregnant and now she is having problems. She is only at 20 weeks, so I really need some prayers that she is going to be able to carry this child to term.

Location: Illinois | Asking for prayers for my step-daughter, Melissa Hilton (30 yr. old), from Benton, KY was injured in an ATV accident late last night. Her left hand was severed at the wrist. My husband and step-son left a short while ago and she is currently in surgery at University of Louisville Hospital, Louisville, KY. I'll update as soon as I hear something.
Updated to add: We were originally told it was severed at the wrist but hubby called as soon as he got to the hospital and said the arm was severed between the elbow and wrist. Melissa is still in surgery so hopefully the surgeons were able to reattach.
New update: After a 12 hour surgery, Melissa is now in intensive care, with her arm re-attached. Praise Jesus! Thank you all for your prayers and please keep Melissa on your prayer lists as she has a long road to complete recovery!

Location: Running barrels or watching nascar | I don't normally ask for prayers either but I need them bad today. Yesterday, I was making what was going to be a smokin run until my horse lost her footing @ the third barrel, fell and rolled oer the top of me. I got up and walked out and so did she but when I got back to the trailer, I was hurting. So after my mom threw the horses in their stalls, we went to the ER. They x-rayed and found out I have a broken collar bone. They gave me pain pills to get home on but I have to have surgery. |

Location: Somewhere in Mommyland | Please say some prayers for our family. We are in a bad place right now financially. The move from WA really hurt us with all the vet bills and now with the economy the way it is I havent been able to sell my horse trailer like I thought I could. I've been on numerous job interviews but nothing has come thru yet. Went to a temp agency today and they didnt have anything for me. Tomorrow the sick horse is getting his eye removed, so there is another bill. Bills are due in a couple weeks and I am not looking forward to telling them I cant pay them right now  |

Location: Tennessee | Please pray for my good friend who was Murdered Friday June 20. He was washing his truck and then shot in the neck and robed. He was simply at the wrong place at the wrong time. He was a wonderful person.
Also pray that they find who took him away frow us.

Dad is in rehab now. He's having more bad days than good. Seems like dementia is setting in big time. It's so hard to see your Dad, who was always a vibrant, take charge, take no prisoners type of person, laying in bed talking out of his mind.

Location: Tennessee | I'd like to add Julie Goodrich, her husband and baby boy, to the BHW prayer list. She is a young woman who was seriously injured during the benefit barrel race my son and DIL held for some friends of their that has a little 2 1/2 year old boy with a rare blood disorder. Julie has quite a few broken bones and other injuries. She is in ICU at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville at this time. |

She will have to go back for frequent checkups with the doctor in Louisville and is currently looking at various prosthetics available. Thanks to all of you that included Melissa in your prayers!  |
