crapshooter - 2013-12-14 5:27 PM Where did Shorty 2 go?  I'm sure her memory is better than mine.  I'm pretty sure she won Vancouver, I don't see any archived results on the NPRA site that far back.

We've been away from the NPRA rodeos for so long, I hardly even know anyone anymore, unless they were  going back when we still were, LOL.I barely remember Tommy, as in just about don't. I know she had a sorrel DTF when I first saw her going, and since then has the buckskin mare MP Wooden Cowgirl from Tammy Fischer, Robin Baby, the black Lucy Schnabele ran for Letty, Dashing Medic, the one I saw in what little I watched of the 1st episode that she bought from Della Wright, he's a really nice horse, made our circuit finals with Della and won a go, Normie she got from Eilene Plunkett, and that's all I can think of off the top of my head.

crapshooter - 2013-12-14 8:21 PM Darcy has been running barrels around here for 9 years.
She's been running for THAT long?? I had no idea. She rides like she's scared or timid.

Didn't she say somewhere she was the NPRA rookie of the year in 2004?  So almost 10 years.  Maybe her new horse is a little  intimidating.  I'd probably look scared on him too.  Last run I made on my own horse scared me.  LOL

Dash can be a butthead at the gate, that might intimidate her. I was too young when Darcy first started NPRA to really remember her (but I do remember her running under Snodgrass) but to me, like someone else said, she runs like she's timid. She's actually not a bad rider to watch just ride, and it makes me wonder if she maybe had an accident? She's actually had Dash for about 2 or 3 years, he's not as new to her as the show makes it out to be.

I've seen her clock in the 1D at Rocky Top though...I know she can put together decent runs. Idk, in my opinion she's no different than a lot of the people on here. I would be willing to bet there are plenty of people on here who are not as good as they make themselves out to be.

I know I'm not great. Only been riding\running since August. But I also don't go talking junk to people a whole lot more successful than I am. I'd be a whole lot further along if I could afford to buy a nice horse, get amazing lessons, leave my kids & haul off into the sunset. But I can't afford to do that.

I just was expecting more talent/skill from all the junk she talks & how she portrays herself. And having the resources she has too. Maybe I'm more critical. Idk.

maybe she talks that way for the show.. noone knows in real life if she does..it could be  for ratings.. has anyone been around her  lately to actually be able to Judge her.

I don't know her, but I'm positive the trash talk is for TV.

Personally, I'm a has-been who hopes to be something again, but I was pretty arrogant when I was younger.

Bahaha, me too!!! If I could have the confidence now that I had as a teenager, I'd be so awesome instead of half-skeered to go fast!

I she mentioned that she's broken her arm and collarbone in that one interview on TV....I wouldn't really be flaunting that though!!

There ya go, 17.2 on a standard on Dash Ta Da Moon.  Maybe she's not the worlds greatest rider but the clock doesn't lie.  How many here have run a 17.2 on a standard WPRA pattern?

I noticed people bashing her for riding Dash one handed all the way so I pulled up some old videos of Della running him.  The first one I watched was Della running a 17.1 on him at Strobels. She rode him one handed all the way. I'm thinking it's not that Darcy isn't aggressive, he's just the type of horse you ride that way.

I've always ridden one handed.  Think I'm letting go of the horn?  Not on your life, they go too fast!
