Hang in there Momma, God is making a way. I'm so glad the insurance is good and things seem to be covered in that area as well as your husband's work being good on his work schedule. When I had my wreck, my momma was off work for around 3 or 4 months straight (bank VP). They told her stay with me as long as needed and not worry about her job. Never missed paying her one penny of her paychecks. What a blessing it is to have good employers. Jacob and all your family continue to be in my nightly prayers

Just checking in. From where I’m sitting, I’d say β€œso far, so good!”
The ups and downs are to be expected.
Keep your chin up, mom, and let him eat anything he wants.

Thank ya'll so much for the prayers, means so much to us. He has 2 buddies over today, had a little pizza and they are playing up a storm. It's fun to hear him laughing. Also made me happy when he asked me to pick him up some apples, cantaloupe and some string cheese from the grocery store this morning! I like for my kids to eat healthy but he hadn't been wanting anything but ice cream, pizza and chips and taco bell for the last several weeks! I was just letting him eat whatever he would because he was so thin! Oh, and he ate 2 grilled cheese yesterday too lol! He's going for his 5th treatment this Friday. It will just be the Vincristine this time, which has always been really easy for him to deal with.. not really any down time with that one from experience. Good thing, because they are going to the deer lease Saturday again! The gentlemen that own the lease are letting my husband and Jacob go to the best stand on the place where they have been seeing the most and BIGGEST bucks... so fingers crossed for him, again! I believe we will be meeting with the surgeon also on Friday. He will need just 1 more treatment and then we scan. Definitely praying everything is responding as it should and we will then know what to do. Surgery to remove the tumor, hopefully he can keep his kidney and I'm hoping the lesions on his lungs are GONE, from what I understand that's going to determine if he will need radiation or not. Jacob is scared for surgery, he remembers the recovery room and that's about it ,he says.. he's pretty nervous about going through that again.., but I told him they need to go in and get the nasty thing out so you can heal. And how much better he will feel too. The thing he hated the most was the catheter, don't blame him there! Unfortunately, it just part of it.

How old is this young man again?

He's 8

Then he is a double tough young man! He is handling this scenario well!

Jacobs treatment went pretty good today, this will mark number 5. He only had one medication today, but his blood count was a lot lower than they'd like. He's very anemic right now, the dr said it's somewhat expected due to his last treatment of 2 meds administered. He basically left it up to us if we wanted to see if jacob could get better on his own or go ahead and do a blood transfusion. We decided to see if his body will level itself, only because, his energy levels and Appetite are thru the roof! The dr said as long as his energy stays up and he's not complaining about a headache he should recover just fine... so one more treatment next Friday and then our CT scan is set for Tuesday the 15.. it's going to be pretty nerve racking to see what comes of this! He's doing good right now. He's soaking in a warm bath with lavender bubble bath and of course some pretty cool bath toys! He's asked for and help me make some hearty taco soup today so he can fill his little belly after his bath! He also lost 1lb, darn... but again, to be expected.. I'm just surprised because he's been eating so much! He's all set to go to that deer lease tomorrow afternoon too! This HAS got to be his day!
