I was just reading through this whole thing for the first time...and im just wondering why its so different to talk about the girls in this show than it is to talk about people in any other reality show?

As far as i can tell...when you choose to put yourself out there on a show meant solely for entertainment...that's kind of your own problem. Reality stars get talked about by name...that's what happens when you become a reality star...people know your name so they talk.

Im sure snookie has a mom and a family who care about her and don't want her talked about in a negative light...but that doesn't stop people. She chose to be on a tv show, and that just comes with the territory i think. Same for these girls. You consent to be on the show, you have to have tough enough skin to deal with criticism. Why should this show be different than every other show out there, if we can all agree that is just a reality show like every show out there and meant for entertainment purposes only? Because its some of "our own"? i don't agree with that either, because i cant say i identify with the girls on this show, from how the show makes them look.

Its not how good or bad the characters are at barrel racing that bothers me. Im not on the WPRA standings, i rodeo but im not gonna say im great at it, i just do it because i love it.
What bothers me is the way they chose to portray this show to the public. I like to believe that rodeo people have a set or morals and values, and that they are good and strong. They are good people who are nice to others and understand the value of hard work. of course that doesn't apply to everyone, but i like to believe it applies to a majority. From the write up about this show, that's not what it makes rodeo sound like. It makes it sound like a bunch of little wh*res (excuse that, but that is what it sounds like...) going around in their fancy rigs chasing cute cowboys with their dogs and backstabbing each other. There are no morals portrayed there. Personally, i would not put myself up to that and agree to be in a show like that. And i cant say i have a ton of respect for the girls that agreed to it, no matter how good or bad they are at barrel racing. I like rodeo because it is traditional, and the sport of good hearted honest hard working people who value their sport, who value God, and who value their horses and their families.
This show doesn't portray that, and that's the part that i don't like. Maybe the write about the show will be way off, and it will actually be an awesome show that shows what the real life on the road is like, and that would be fabulous, but that's really not what it sounds like.
