You do realize that bullying and hating is subjective depending on who you are.

I remember all the hateful things said about Obama and his wife, and everything he did.

I got into it with the Dr over healthcare.  Sometimes not even letting the people from Canada tell us about theirs.

I got into it with all of you over the Iraq war.

Lets not forget Hillary heck she still gets brought up and trashed.

So that........... be nice and respect the office only applies to Republicans in office.

I just wish the Dr would provide useful information instead of trashing me.  I would sure think he would have better things to do.

ETA: It has affected me yesterday I had 2 friends pass, don't know the details one went to hospital went on vent and died, the other lived in FL and I don't know.  One was a runner the other showed horses.  I have several friends and friends kids who didn't take this serious they are know under self quarintine because people they have come in contact with are now in the hospital very since and on vents.  These poeple were health a few weeks go they were 60 & 65.

Why the need for the circumstantiality and flights of ideas?  What's with the Obama/Hillary/Iraq War stuff all about?  I understand your inclination to get off on those tangents, but you didn't hurt anyone's feelings one bit. You seem to perseverate on this idea of feelings being hurt, or "bullying", as some are quickly inclined to call it. Look in the mirror.  It appears to me that the only one with hurt feelings is yourself.  Why don't you hit the reset button and let's get back to discussing the topic at hand.  Fair enough?  That being said, I think it is very hard, if not unavoidable, to include the political battles that are ongoing over this pandemic.  Practically everywhere you read, and everything you hear about this has political overtones.  That's almost always the case in any large national crisis.  Nobody will explode or turn into a pillar of salt if they happen to bring up the politics of this crisis.  If someone feels politics is so repugnant that they are compelled to lash out at anyone who brings it up, then maybe they need to avoid this thread and focus on something else.

The thing is not one of us on here said anything about this virus being a democratic hoax no politics were even mention, We were discussion this all in a normal matter. And Scott came on here giving us great infor and explaining this virus in a normal way that most of us could understand, I know Scott can be a knucklehead like any one of us, but he was really doing a good job at explaining and answering questions till politics got thrown in and he didnt even start the politics talk.

Nobody is being "silenced".  Let's get that straight.  I didn't have to watch Bill Gates video from 2015.  I saw it 4-5 years ago.  He's not the first one to warn us of the dangers of pandemics. People before Bill Gates warned us.  The entire world was not prepared.  We never have been.  Our response to this, given the circumstances, has been very good, overall, in my opinion.  You can bet that Trump will make sure we will be better prepared then ever and he will deal with China's choke hold over us during his second term.

Well I was thinking today that everybody should have started to get a grip on themselves and stop buying out everything in Wal Mart and HEB, wrong I needed to get sugar {hummingbirds are back and demanding their sugar water} so went to get sugar and a few other things and holy heck theres more empty shelves then ever, all sugar was gone I did managed to get 2 small bags, but all the cleaning products and clothes soap shelves were empty, very limtied on most things. I still cant find my Vit.C, I did order some on line but still not have gotton it yet and that was almost 2 weeks ago. I wonder how long this is going to go on, will the panic ever stop?

Bear, what is your opinion on the drug combo that Trump and others are hopeful about?  The student in my sons school that was in ICU responded very well to it, he was not doing well but is fine now.  What about those that are dying, are they getting the meds or is it not offered everywhere?

Just a little concerned because the horses (along with all the people that are taking care of them) that are in New Orleans can only stay at the Fairgrounds racetrack until April 12, then most of them are supposed to be moving here to Evangeline Downs.  There are several confirmed cases at the backside of the racetrack in NOLA so everything is up in the air right now as to if they get to move or not.  

The two drugs everyone is talking about are Hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine.  Those are the drugs that have been around since the 1950's.  They have been used for malaria and diseases like lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. "Plaquenil" is the trade name for Hydroxychloroquine, and some of you may have heard of it.  Some studies claim that these drugs work better when combined with Azithromycin ("zpac").  It is correct and accurate to describe the preliminary studies so far as "anectodal", because they are not entirely scientifically sound.  They are "open label", meaning they aren't double blind.  They are not real well designed.  They aren't randomized, and they had quite a few participants drop out of the study, for some unknown reason.  I'm talking about the French study which was very small.  Because of President Trump, the FDA has relaxed restrictions and is allowing for "off label" use, meaning use for conditions that have not been subject to the typical standards and scrutiny.  More and more people are using them, but enter into a study at the same time, which is what Dr Fauci has been pushing for.  The combination with Zpac looks promising, but there is some increased risks for serious side effects. Most of the more dangerous side effects occur at a higher dose for a longer period than the 5-10 days typically used for covid-19. Still, there are risks.  The main risk is of abnormal heart rhythms because of abnormalities in the heart's conduction system.  Another risk is retinopathy or eye damage, although that is usually seen with much higher doses for longer times.  Azithromycin itself can have the same cardiac side effects, and the combination of both is additive.  Overall the drugs appear safe, but they are not "completely safe".  
There are also antiviral drugs that look promising, like remdisivir.  Some anti HIV drugs are being looked at.
