| Our female was never agressive other than with other dogs. she loved the men and hated the ladies. Very loyal dogs, can tell you a lot about them but I assume you've done your homework? |

| Check Louisana. State dog I believe. Ours was a Brindle. I grew up with her. She saved me from several mean heifers. Literally putting herself in the line of fire. Great dogs I think I now own a Pit and he's an awesome dog. Only agressive while IN the pickup. |

Location: GA | I LOVE my girl. Harper is Catahoula/American Bulldog. She is 7 months old and 58 pounds.. still growing.
She is definitely head strong and can hold her own. You have to be the alpha with them for sure but she has not shown any aggression. I've had her since she was 2 weeks old.. her mother passed away and we took her in and have had her ever since.
She was the runt. I'll see if I can post a pic of her brother.
I would have another in a heartbeat but Harper will be my love for now. I couldn't ask for a better dog. She truly is a "Mama's Girl". She doesn't quite like listening to her daddy.. LOL. And she has been cool with the horses since day 1 and goes to every show with me.

| We absolutely loved ours but he would chew anything!! Plugs off trailers, brushes, headstalls & even chewed up the gear shift knob on Hubby's open topped jeep!. NOT GOOD! He was destructive and just as sweet as pie! |

Thank you!!
I will say, these dogs can be chewers from what I've gathered from Harper.. but since she was very little, I constantly put toys in her mouth to make sure she didn't chew on other things.
We leave her out now when we run errands or go out to eat.. sometimes she's out with our other dog up to 5 hours and we haven't come home to anything torn up yet! She is always laying down chewing on her bone.
Not saying it was easy but continuous reinforcement did it for Harper.. still can't get her to stay away from our socks though! |

 Best of the Badlands
Location: You never know where I will show up...... | Best dogs I've ever had and I will never own another heeler, Aussie,Border Collie or mix of all of the above. We've been using them on our ranch since 1998 and never had one that was aggressive or bad to be around. You have to be tough on them as pups, and get their respect at a young age. They are different than any other dog and mentally slowing maturing than most. Most people that have problems with them gave them an inch and they took a mile. You have to stay on top of them at all times. The males can be more aggressive than the females are. They are hard headed but not as bad as a heeler. Mine also hunt varmints. We don't have a skunk, possum, or coon problem on our place with these dogs. Ours are good with kids, other dogs, cats, ect. They do not work unless they are told to work. They are a very active dog though, they need room to run and play and be dogs. Too much penned up energy can also make for a problem with them. |

 Best of the Badlands
Location: You never know where I will show up...... | CYA Ranch - 2013-11-16 3:03 PM They are extremely wild dogs. Owner beware. My brother raises them, we have 2.
I got one out of this same litter! She has been the most MELLOW Catahoula I have ever seen or been around. She is extremely soft hearted and loves people. She is an awesome worker though! She is anything but soft on cattle. And she is a natural heel dog. She works absolutely wonderfully with our older female. Love, love, love her. I would get another one from your brother in a heartbeat And if I could have gotten one from this last litter, I sure would have, but we have too many dogs already. |

Location: Southern OK aka God's Country | They use them for hog dogs in our area. That's about the only time I see them. And that's not a real great trait for a pet. The other dogs they use are pits as "catch" dogs. |

| we had them growing up as catch dogs. They are hard headed and there were times that dad had to rope one just to get them off the cow. They can be aggressive and I heard it was because of inbreeding but im not 100% sure. We had one that we let be an inside dog for awhile until we noticed that he was stalking the bottle calves and then we caught him stalking a young boy at a barrel race and had to ship him off. He became a really good hog dog. If you raise one right, just like any dog, they could be outstanding. |

Location: Somewhere else | One of the best dogs I've ever had. Very family oriented, loved to ride, I could send her to get the horses & they would all be chasing her back to the barn....but....if you wasn't family you had to watch your step around her. She watched over my son after he was born like he was her own...would love to have another one. I had a female and I bred her 3 times & she would have herds, like 12 plus puppies. Loved that dog. Very protective of me. I took her everywhere with me. |

| Here is "wild bill" he is very sweet, and very hard headed. It seems as if these dogs have 9 lives.. He's been bitten by snakes and ran over by a school bus and is still going strong. And he's only about 2 |

| My brother has 3, they're all working dogs but will let my 3 year old niece pull their ears, sit on them, whatever she wants to do to them, his are great dogs! I wouldn't want to be the person that messed with her when the dogs are around though, they love that kid like she's their own puppy! Now when we were growing up my best friend had one, he was beautiful, and such a cool dog but one day when we were in high school something snapped in his brain and he chased my friend until she climbed up on top of her parents truck and he wouldn't let her come down, she waited up there until her dad got home from work and called the dog off. :( I don't know what caused it, all the others I've been around were really good dogs, but then he was too until whatever set him off. |

Best dogs youll ever deal with. I'll make a point to do that tomorrow. He came from a breeder in West Virginia. Wallers Freedom Kennels on facebook. I believe they just had a new litter. Theyre a wonderful family to work with and truly enjoy what theyre doing. If you dont have facebook let me know. I can get theyre number if youre interested. |

Thank you!
Gus has some really nice color! Here's a better picture of Harper's color. She's taller than she looks. How much did Gus end up weighing full grown? (If he's full grown)
Just curious. We've only owned large dogs so I'm not worried about it.
