What a great job Sid's husband did holding "sister" in the holding area. Fractious horses much like Sister may need a little help from a rig and she got just that. She has come a long way folks. |

Was Taylors horse the buckskin? If so that little horse can fly! I was having a ball last night watching horses I knew nothing about and had never seen run before. Going to be a fun 9 days. |

Yes, it was a leftie. Drug down a can but OMG I got chills watching that sucker run up in the hole cowing it like it was going to eat the can alive. Taylor is a jockey too, you can just tell. |

As many past threads have shown, everyone has their own idea of what an 'alley issue' is, what they will or will not tolerate & what line crosses from amped to dangerous.
I was impressed with the horse, she worked hard & was obviously ready for her job. She didn't fight the gate, which is the most important thing to me.

| I didn't think she was bad at all...looked more to me like she knew why she was there and wanted to run. Anything can happen but I'm sure they know how to handle her. That mare might be my new fave alongside Martha |

Yep that's the one I'm remembering. Would have won it last night with a .73 if I remember right. Nice little horse.
I was more impressed with Worm last night than any other time I've seen him run. |

i dont think that was her husband, she is dating a canadian guy Luke Butterfield and hes a lot smaller than whoever that was lol |

CJ has always talked about how Scamper was a handful only because he WANTED to run which looked no different to me than Sister did last night. Its not like she was trying to get the flock out of there, she wanted to hunt down a can!
CJ made the comment at a clinic I was at that her biggest fear was Scamper was going to take off before it was his turn and take off with another horse in the pen. |

WrapSnap - 2013-12-06 10:39 AM Pure Victory Dash AKA Twisted Sister won the Juvenille at the BFA With Angie Grandpre, was trained by Bunt and has been owned by the Blanchards for some time. On the issue of her being bad in the alley, I actually thought they handled it quite well. Sydni stayed off of her until it was time for her to go and it seemed to me as though the mare was rather well behaved until that point. I certainly seen several other horses that girls have run repeatedly through the years come into the alley in much the same fashion.

I personally watched them beat Scamper in the chest with a whip while backing him into the gate at a rodeo in Poway, California many, many moons ago. It was a way offset gate and as soon as she got in and spun him around he took off from there which was a long angled awkward run to the right barrel but, she won it so.....
Her trailer had 3 or 4 years as World Champ painted on it at that time.
It was just one rodeo out of 34839733085738, maybe it was the only time that happened. |

| If I had been on Twisted Sister last night I'd still be sitting in the alleyway trying to clean up my britches. Wicked fast horse. That rearing stuff is not for me though. Most impressed with Sherry and Stingray last night - bottom of the ground, last out, and while the mare had decent 1st and 2nd barrels she had an absolutely smoking 3rd barrel - that's where she won it. Awesome barrel racing all the way around. Can't wait for the next 9 rounds! |
