 Midget Lover
Location: Kentucky | loflin06 - 2013-12-09 9:07 AM There is no doubt that this week has been a struggle for a few of us. This pen is the toughest pen you will run in all year and and for me personally I'm have a little tough time getting my timing right. On top of that we all have 500 people texting and commenting on how to ride, what we are doing wrong and how they hate what we are wearing. What you don't see is the top 15 are busy from 5am until 11 pm working, meeting with fans and special needs children, meetings and a million other things that pull us in a million different directions. We are blessed to be here but please keep in mind and respect that we all deserve to be here, worked our butts off, made sacrafices that others wouldn't have the courage to and earned our spots because we are the top 15 in the world. This is a great group of girls that represent our sport very well. So if we hit ten barrels and fall off and disappoint you a with how we ride please at least respect us enough to stay positive. We are doing the best we can. :)
I hate that you have to come on here and defend yourself. It shouldn't be that way. You and those 14 girls have worked your butts off all year to be where you are. Any true blood barrel racer should be rooting on everyone there, and would love to be there in the stands. You go girl. Also - thank you for posting behind the scenes photos and updates on your Facebook. I really do appreciate it!! |

Why isn't she pushing Movin?? She's just been loping her the last few nights. It's kinda aggravating me Dx. I know that little mare can get some!
Oh and Fallon. Is she gonna hit a barrel tomorrow night?? I seriously wonder how she's made it to the NFR if she's hitting barrels like that.
You ought to be ashamed of this post. If you're not running at the nfr, you've got no room to criticize those that made it. They are in Vegas, you're sitting on a couch watching.
Fallon has had a great year on that little mare. I have no doubt she will figure out how to leave the barrels up. The nfr standings are based off times and money won. It's pretty black and white. You've got no business questioning if any of the girls should be there.

Location: Riding Crackhead. | Thank you Christy but its unreal that you have to come on here to defend yourself or your horse. The OP should be horrified but since she made the comment in the first place I would guess she has very little class or brains. You have already proved yourself time and time again. You are living my dream. |

Side note..... Is it just me, or does it seem some of the horses are having a hard time digging in and getting around?
The TM is notorious for having hard ground.
Sherry said the in interview at th buckle ceremony that th ground was really good this year. As many horses that are running under 14 from top to bottom makes me think the ground is fairly decent & consistent.
We were there for the first two rounds and I "thought" it looked good from the way the horses were running/working. But it's still would be tough to say since I was in the stands, lol. |

| I don't feel like I need to defend myself. I would just like for people to start changing their negitive minds to positive thoughts and give everyone a little inside perspective to what it's like to be under this kind of pressure. I am disappointed with how my week has gone but that does not define me as a rider. It won't be the last time I hit a barrel of almost fall off and it sure won't be the last time I win a check!:) Words are powerful and you can hurt someone or build them up and I always choose to try to be positive instead of being hurtful:) |

That's not her quote I just don't remember what she said. Stay positive Christy. |

I don't know about anyone else, but I'd need some duct tape to ride Movin! You guys have all earned your way there, and no one can take that from you.
You know what they say

Keep kicking major butt! I love watching all you ladies ride. |

I guess tying for 2nd/3rd in the 2nd round isn't riding to your full potential. We are so blessed to be able to see you & Movin at the T&M this year. You are truly inspirational to all of us. Your positive attitude is contagious & I can't wait to see how you both do in the next 6 rounds. Good luck & keep doin what you're doin. |

| I learned early to keep those close to you who are positive. All year I have been inspired by Christy and her positive attitude, and to see her come on here and say what she did, it's no wonder I look up to her! I feel pressure locally, can't imagine what it's like for the top 15. Keep riding hard, Movin is an AMAZING horse!!! |

I doubt the OP imagined you would stop by to defend yourself before she posted this crap behind the safety of her computer. Best of luck in the next rounds! |

Please don't be disappointed!! You made it to the NFR and have had some pretty stellar rounds! Some horses are just going to do better in a tiny indoor and that doesn't make Movin any less of a horse! Movin is trying and that to me says more than a horse that gives up! Keep riding and we'll keep cheering!! Good luck! |

I've been following you on FB since last year and know that you have been giving it your all -- not just at the NFR but all year long. I wish you guys the best of luck and hope that Movin starts shining in the pen for you and clocking some fabulous times. Thank you so much for always taking us along with you in your journey in the pictures and updates that you post on FB and on here. |

Location: Bastrop, Texas | There's nothing wrong with us "armchair jockeys" critiquing the top riders in the world. That's what "fans" do. It happens in all truly professional sports....baseball, football, hockey, golf....you name it. The pros in those sports can handle it just fine. If you don't have a fan base, you don't have a professional sport. I don't think the ladies running at the NFR are so hyper sensitive and fragile that they can't handle the critiques. Name one professional sport where it is taboo to critique the pros. They learn to let it run like water off a duck's back. If they didn't, they would go nuts. Seems to me this comes up every year, and I just shake my head. |
