How have people liked their offspring temperment wise? I've heard everything from "love them" to "spooky and looky" Do they stay pretty sound? I've also heard people say yes and no?
I rode a friends mare who has NEVER been out at a busy barrel race with horse loping circles, slide stoping, and just warming their horses up in tight quarters and the mare was looky but NOT spooky ONE BIT. I thoroughly enjoyed riding her she was a pleasure! In fact riding my friends mare is what made my decision to breed my PD mare to ASOF |

My ASOF is coming 4 this year and she's out of a Shawne Bug daughter, she's a BIG girl. She was every bit of 15.2 as a 2 yr old, she hasn't grown much taller since, but filled out more and we love her. She will run in the futurities next year, and we are flushing embryos from her this year. Have her booked to Irish Pay and Frenchmans Guy. I'll post a pic of her.
HOLY COW! That mare is STUNNING! and that breeding!!!! OMG you are darn right to ET her Gosh I bet she will be amazing on the barrels! She is NICE NICE NICE! |

I really liked mine. She would come up to me every day out in the pasture, real friendly and loved having a job. As far as riding her she was a little watchy but no worse than the Docs Jack Frost grandget that I've grown up on. She was very smart, show her something once and she had it figured out. Despite being short, mine was big boned and good footed, she was barefoot the entire time I had her. |

Location: left field | My mare is gentle and kind, but flighty. If you raise your hand too fast to pet her or touch her face she acts like your going to beat her, but then you just wait a second and then she's like, Oh ok, no big deal. But she's very good minded and willing and one of the best ranch horses we have.
