For those that live in AZ....how much acreage do you have? And is ANY of it pasture? I was goofing around and browsing property for sale and noticed for quite a bit of money,
(~$300k
) you don't get a lot of acreage. But you get a nice house! Haha. The only way I could see getting more than 4 acres at a decent price is near the lower part of the valley and you would have to build. Just curious on that aspect.

As a native, I resent people moving here from all over trying to make it lush and green! Its the DESERT and water is
precious
, we have to conserve or it will run out!

Irrigated land is going to cost you more than non. An acre of desert will run from about $8k to $15k depending on location. Houses right now aren't going for much. I have a nice custom home about 3,000 square feet on an irrigated acre, with pipe fencing and a nice mare motel. I couldn't get my house to appraise for than $250k.

I understand there won't be lush pastures.....I'm just seeing a lot of smaller acre lots.....I guess if you can't have a pasture, there's no point of having a turnout since there's nothing to do on said turnout?

I still think turnout is very important. We dont have any grass on the plains on our property either but the horses have a 5 acre "pasture" and a 15 acre "pasture".
If i get get everything organized correctly i found a place with an rv hook up And room for the horses for a VERY reasonable price! Just have to get all the details ironed out and find a job! My aim is still May! :
