Yes call Candace.....she is the BOMB! I truly believe in Candace and Young Living Essential Oils. I also used the accuscope on my stud but the lady that did it is so busy she is really hard to get a hold of. It worked real well too. |

Does she work at Young Living Oils? I have just started with oils and I buy from them. |

| I wouldn't mainly because some herbs do not go well together. |

Location: 31 lengths farms | So after going back to syringing her herbs to her for the last week and a half or so, rode her last night for a short period but did trot and lope and ask her to do everything but just for shorter period of over all time. After I unsaddled her and took her down to roll, she urinated and it was blood free!!! So looks like even though it is a huge pan in the buttocks we will be using the syringe method to get her herbs to her from now on :-) |

Location: 31 lengths farms | Been doing some research on Essential Oils also..wish it didn't seem like it is all cloak and mirrors and having to know a secret handshake to get it, LOL!!! We've had good success so far with the Equine Natural Care herbs, have my mare that is a headshaker on the Joint herbs and she no longer has to take the Cyproheptadine RX!!!! Her hair sample showed up that she had TMJ on the right side...a week after starting the herbs I no longer had to give her the Cypro before I rode her.
Will be adding the Essential oils to our bag of tricks too for both of them |

Location: 31 lengths farms | So after waiting for some information on the Acuscope protocol with no word back I called the local woman that does that therapy who is aware of CC's kidney issue and we think with her background of treating horses and knowledge of what we are dealing with we are going to go ahead and do some acuscope therapy on her and see how it goes. I will keep you all updated on that also.
So yes, PSA, you will be pestered with more news of CC and her kidneys stones!!! |

Location: 31 lengths farms | Rode CC this am early, supposed to get hot and the Shoer was coming to do everyone at 8 am. She used to have amazing feet, last August before any of the other symptoms showed up Travis started having trouble keeping shoes on her and her heels were a major issue. Her once hard beautiful feet where Shelly and weak, even had to put equipad in her soles a few times eay this spring. After finding the kidney stones and the blood work coming back that her immune system was low also it all made sense. Today however not only did I get a ride in on her with no blood being passed in her urine afterwards but the farrier also noticed some healthy hoof growth and she didn't have to have the equipad filler under her shoes!!!!
Is it Rediculous I still cry every time we get a ride completed without her passing blood??? God is truly good! |

Location: 31 lengths farms | Not a whole lot to update about, but at times that can be a good thing too I guess. Continuing to give her the Herbs in a paste form by mixing water with it and syringing it to her. Went for a very short ride down the creek the other night as she saw me leave one at a time on the other two and she is very much a horse that thinks whatever anyone else is doing she should be doing also. It was starting to get a little darker when I got back on the 2nd horse but one look at CC's face at her gate I figured I'd take her a trot a few circles in our "dirt patch" as we call the worked up area in the pasture. She marched us out across the dirt patch up the small berm between the pasture and the creek and stopped at the gate with absolutely no question in her mind that SHE was going for a ride down the creek, LOL!!! I usually ride down there about this time of year getting them legged up for Pendleton's 4th of July race so she loves the creek, to her it means breezing a few miles :-) Can't do that so walked her down the creek about a half mile or so and then long trotted her back home, closed the gate and came up over the berm and she headed to the first barrel. This little mare loves to work, always has, she loves having a job so right now trotting the barrel pattern is her job even if it is only 2 times a week with a few loping circles thrown in here and there, it keeps her mind in the game and looking forward to what's next. Again after the ride I took her out to roll and kept an eye on her when she did go to her corner in her pen to urinate...pretty good flow and no blood. Still no ouchiness in her feet, no pads in the front and bare in the back for now. The plan is to have her kidney's and bladder ultrasounded again around the end of September. |

Location: 31 lengths farms | Havent been able to catch up with the woman that does Acuscope, she has been on the road a bit to races but did take CC to a BioScan treatment to see what it may or may not gain us. After the treatment she urinated 2 times at the trailer while my gelding was being done, and again in the trailer on the way home, then I found 4 fresh spots in her pen the next morning also. May have to add this t her routine all the time. Also need to do some asking around for some insight on this part. I found some info on essential oils, 2 of them that were recommended were Lemon and Frankinscense (sp)..applied that how it was prescribed. The lemon oil she was fine with, however the frankinsense she wanted OFF of her. Took about 3 minutes, I had applied it, went up the hill and fed the cat and I see CC turning around and biting at her side...but only at the spot that the Frankinsense was applied, she did it repeatedly and I could tell was very frustrated. So I went down and applied some water to the spot. She quit biting at her side but then I see her pawing and pulling at her bell boots, I had applied it to an area there also. Took her hoof oil and applied it to dilute the area also and she quit and went back to eating.. |

Did you add a carrier oil such as coconut oil to the essential oils or did you apply them neat? Also did you let her smell them before using them? I have just started using essential oils
lately myself. |
