Location: Southwest Minnesota | I prefer horses of color... I think Appy's get a bad rap about their behavior...can't quite figure out where people get the notion that when an Appaloosa behaves badly it must be because of it's heritage and when a QH behaves badly it's probably because of bad training or mishandling. I have an Appaloosa and love him dearly. He is not the fastest horse in my pasture but he is certainly the best temperment and the one I am most likely to put an inexperienced rider on. He can do it all and does it with the happiest disposition. Here is a pic of him from yesterday with the girl I leased him to at our County Fair...She qualified for our State 4-H horse show with him which is a pretty big accomplishment. |

| Kay Blandford had an App as her back up horse, and used him, for NFRs. She's trained and run a lot of Apps.
Personally, I wouldn't own an App if you paid me to.
Attitude, jug headed, tailless creatures. Don't forget pig eyed. |

| And slow. That's why the Indians rode them, because they could catch them on foot. |

Location: 31 lengths farms | Grew up on a POA who was salt of this earth!!! The type of pony that people dream of their kid lucking into. Send him down the creek with 7 neighbor kids at 6 am in the summer and at 7 pm he'd bring them all back with big grins on their faces. My "step up horse " was the homeliest Appy gelding you could imagine, but he went from being in the top 10 in the nation as a endurance horse to being my 4-H WP horse, then decided I wanted to learn to rope, he was forced to run barrels a time or 20, LOL!!! Not a champion at any of them but respectable and safe and I will throw my leg over a spotted pony again before my riding days are thru because of those "ewe necked, goat gutted, spavin boned, broom tailed, hammer headed" gems I had as a kid. |

| I'm so happy to hear postives!! This filly I purchased will never be a famous unbeatable horse. We are not looking for that. We where just looking for a all around project that will be a all around horse and hopefully love the cans. And she was definatly the price range that would be good for a prohect horse. She has a very sweet attitude and picks up so quickly! First day at 4mths old we had her walking over tarps and trotting in hand! I think she going to be a very rewarding undertaking for my 14 year old!
