ruggedchica - 2014-08-03 7:36 AM Â I like to diffuse YL's Stress Away and Lavendar. Â Really helps me sleep through the night.
Â
For whatever reason...I can't handle the smell of the majority of the oils. We tried the Lavender in the diffuser at night and both times I had to get up and turn it off. I wonder why that is?Â
I can't stand Lavendar either... |

I have a friend who is like that too. She is really sensitive to smells...and tastes too. She can't handle food with much seasoning on it at all. The oils were too strong for her sense of smell.
Have you tried diffusing the lemon or lemongrass? They are milder smells in the diffuser.
Maybe you've got an ultra good sniffer!

I've been told that DoTerra uses some synthetics in their oils and Living Young is all pure. Living Young grows all of their own plants to make their oils. A friend of mine went out west and actually helped with a harvest of one of their plants. They have fields all over the world.
Living Young began in 1993 while Doterra started in 2008. Not true on the synthetics in the doTerra - that was something LY started some time back & there was a lawsuit. As far as I know, both are pure oils ... I know the doterra has nothing synthetic & are 100% pure. No matter what brand you use, there are some wonderful healing properties to the oils. I did a lot of research on both companies when I was trying to decide. From what I found out, the people who started DoTerra had originally worked at Young Living and went out on their own. The lawsuit was brought against DoTerra for using proprietary information (from what I can remember).
Neither have synthetics, some of the DoTerra oils have gone through more distillations than the Young Livings.
They are both good products.

I can handle the lemon and Purification in our diffuser. I can use the Thieves hand cleaner. Peace and calming turns my stomach. It wasn't very calming..LOL |

| I don't care for lavender, peace and calm or the joy blend, either but I love sandalwood, if you saw me sniffing it you would think I was huffing paint or something, lol. My horse doesn't like lavender either but loves his basil. I have another horse that when you offer oils he snorts and looks at you like you're trying to poison him, so I haven't used any on him. |

So are you saying a company would lie about another competing company? LOL
Â
NEVER!! LOL
There were more claims that were disputed too between the 2 companies, but from what I've heard, they were settled.
I can't handle the "flowery" oils ... they do my allergies in! I use the On Guard, Breathe & Frankincense the most I would say.
And the comment about being a distributor - YEP, agree w/NTO - I think anyone that signs up with either company is a distributor - that is the part I am not thrilled with since both are pyramid companies. |

I have used youngliving oils before I have used doterra, and I find doterra to be more effective in my opion. but in the end they are both benifial to what ever you are using them for. |

Bothe, I feed the lemongrass and marjoram. Anything with a supplement label on the bottle is good for internal use. I recommend the book "Modern Essentials" it has everything ! I have tons of recipes. |

I have been using the oils for a while now and have had great results. I ONLY use Young Living (I'm a distributor now too) and that's all I will ever use.Â
I have a torn meniscus, and was taking hydrocodone every day. I use YL's Panaway and have not taken a hydrocodone since last October.
I also suffer from PCOS and I use the Progessence Plus every day.Â
If anyone is interested in the full list of oils that I use daily and why I use them, I would be more than happy to help, as well as answer any questions. I have not taken any prescriptions, over the counter meds, etc. since I started using YL oils.
Please message me :) |

I use Panaway and that is what has completely gotten me off my pain meds. I also use peppermint. Peppermint is one of my favorites. |
