| I have a four year old big 16h son of Jonathan Perry out of a Strawfly,Johnny Vittora and Alaboone mare that if I ever get started I will let you know. Right now he extremely gentle and laid back and first instinct is he may be too docile to make a barrel horse but I got him off the track with several wins and a 101 SI - honestly I have not done much with him but at 57 am not afraid to go ride him when he is fresh - so far I really like his mind and willing attitude |

| I will have my first experience with a Mr Jess Perry as I bred one of my mares to Jess Being Valiant. Baby is due in 2 weeks. Can't wait to meet him or her. This is JBV first year to stand. He has won over $200,000 on the track & retired sound.

| We have an own son that is a Graded Stakes winner, he is a proven producer of both racehorses and had his first barrel futurity horse last year that ran well in the Northern futurities. He only had 9 foals prior to us buying him because he was the first stakes winner for his previous owners and their pet. We adopted him basically LOL, they felt like we would promote him which we have tried. He bred 20 mares last year in Utah and we moved him to Texas after breeding season. He has been busy so far the breeding season and we hope for a really nice set of babies to come this year by him. We believe in him and truly think he is going to do big things as a sire. He is a cool horse and the kindest most sensible stud we have had. |

| Currently looking at a filly who's dam is a daughter of Feature Mr Jess out of a Sticks an Stones daughter. Excited about the sire of this filly (First Moonflash) but I don't have any experience with the bottom side. Opinions??

I just sold him last month. He is 6 now. He is a nice horse, but is a little slow to mature and I didn't have time he needed to get really solid on the pattern. MJP take a while to mature for sure. |

His gentle disposition and heart make him a winner. He's a big boy 15.3 HH.
He's made a awesome barrel horse and has made $$.. and very handsome too..

Location: Lost in the corn of Iowa. | I've seen a lot of good comments about why people love their MJP horses, but there were a couple that don't care for them. I'm curious about why they don't like them. Is it rider/horse personality clash or something else? I have a MJP grand daughter that I am re-habbing because she was pushed too hard too soon. So I am interested in the negatives as well as the positive experiences people may have. |

| I have had 2 different ones. The first was a granddaughter of MJP out of a Streakin Six mare. I loved her. She had a great mind, was not hot at all, and was very intelligent and athletic. Unfortunately, she got navicular. I now have a Flit To Kill out of a MJP daughter. She is very much like the other one. All good stuff. One thing I can say about both of them is that they are very feelie sensitive horses. I could see how people could have trouble with them in that they could easily get scared. They are extremely light in the face and sides. It can make them difficult to ride. You can't move around a lot up there. I would take a whole barn full of them. |
