sorrel horse ranch - 2014-10-16 8:29 AM Whoever you buy your oils from I know it seems expensive when you look at the "little" bottles.  But you use just a few drops and that small bottle lasts a really long time.
That is so true! And I can say for us, since o got really serious to using the oils I have not had to fill a prescription. When we started my daughter had such a bad UTI the antibotics were not working, we were going to have to do IV medicine. She had constant infections amd never went more than a couple weeks not on meds. I researched the oils A LOT tried some on my self, used them on my pets and I was very confident in my decision to use them on my daughter. We are 3 months antibotics free! Our medicine is all out of pocket, and she had so much resistance built up meds were very expensive. And her natural good bacteria and immunity was wrecked from so much meds. We were at a point where modern medicine was completely failing us and had nothing to lose. We still have dr. but now have a valablue tool in our corner. Im sure most everybody thinks im crazy and sure its hocuspocus but im amazed at our results. I just wanted share. No sales pitch or anything just very happy and wanted to share

What oil did you use for your daughter's uti?  Thanks for your share. That's how we all learn. I was in the same boat:-/

What we started with was AM theives of feet purification over bladder and a drink of ningxa red with a drop of lemon. In the PM we did frankensence on feet, purification over bladder. It was helping but she needed more help. My sponser suggested doing rain drop treatments but we decided to try Aroma Siez added to the retuine. As it is a blend with many of thebsamen oils as the raindrop in one bottle. I put this on at night on her spine concentrating on the lower part. We have successfully got rid of the infection and shes getting more and more control and strength. Im starting to lessen the oils now as we dont need to fight infection at the moment yay!
I am going to try Juniper as it can support nerve repair. And thats what started this all, her milen sheath got damaged.
We are also giving her young livings probiotic called life 5.

Asside from the UTI getting better shes also not sick ALL the time the constant antibiotics destroyed all bodies balance and every little cold she would get. Our house did NOT get the "back to school" sickness this year.

If you are any body wants more info about the oils or young living please message me here or add me on FB i really dont mind! Im so passionate and amazed by these little bottles i could talk about them all day!

Della, I was a skeptic when I first began EO's. No longer. In fact, this week the men I work with are all about me bombing the place in EO's.
One of the guys has a daughter that was born severe MR. Since they began the EO journey 3 years ago the changes for their family are beautiful. His wife has learned so much and has passed on to others that care for difficult children.

OP, Lavender is a great oil, in fact when I go anywhere I almost always have a small bottle in my pocket. Funny thing is I've seen it work better in mares than gledings. Like NTO noted the Ruta Va La which has Lavender in it is amazing on many hard cranked geldings.
I want to add to NTO's comment on the book...for animals Dr. Shelton has the "bible" for oiling your horses. IMHO

The new sixth edition of Essential Oils desk reference sixth edition published by Life Science has some of Dr. Shelton's recipes for different animals but I like the book I listed 10 times better as it has so much more info on specific problems..JMO

Dr. Shelton is in the process of writing a new book.

My go to oil is frankincense, since using it I haven't had to use Advair or albuterol.

How do you use it? I'm not familiar with using oils for anything other than when I make bath salts at Christmas.

What oil/oil blend have y'all tried and know will help me sleep? I'm so frustrated with no being able to sleep. If I do fall asleep I can't stay asleep for more than a couple hours. The most sleep I get during the night is 3-4 hours. Some nights I don't sleep at all. Just like right now I've been laying in bed for 4 hours just as tired as can be but I can't go to sleep. I eventually give up and get on here or Facebook and watch tv until I fall asleep on the couch. I won't go to the doctor though. All he will do is fill me with sleeping pills and that just not something I want to do at my age. I'm 22 I don't want to depend on a pill the rest of my life.

Ruta Va La and Valerian throw in a bit of Lavender as well. Have you had you hormones checked? I was not surprised when I found mine all out of balance. I like pogressence plus from Young Living as well, it helps me with my sleep. I work an odd schedule so my body has no idea what to do. I have to have chemical/EO help or else I stay up for days.
Given your age, Vetiver

How do you use it? I'm not familiar with using oils for anything other than when I make bath salts at Christmas.

I mix it 50:50 with a carrier oil like coconut oil and a at the same ratio add Copaiba Oil, then rub on my chest and throat and then put my hands up to my nose and breath the scent in for a few seconds. I have never needed to do this more than 2 or 3 times a day but I must add, though, the worst part of the year for me is just about to start, do I may have to do it more often. If I need to I will use both oils and inhaler. Peace and Calming has worked at night for my husband and me when we get insomnia. The brands I use are Young Living, and rocky Mountain Oils and I am going to try Heritage oils soon.

I am banking on Ninja Red and Frankinsense to continue to keep my body free of breast cancer.
Plus orange and lemon oil.

You could try a drop of frankensence right on the base of your skull (like where your neck meets your head right under your hair line)
This so far has worked the best for us.
There are a ton of different oils that can help with sleep just have to find thenpefrect one for you!

Serenity and Lavendar work best for me.. I rub it on the bottom of my feet every night, then put a little on my pillow and also cup my hands to my nose and take a few deep breaths.. Difussing the oils will also help!

You can google and find most of your questions answered. I'm very new at this but I have found you will get many different answers and it's because the oils work differently on different people so you need to experiment and find what works for you.

Google...What essential oils work best to use for a good nights sleep?

I use Young Living oils and of course like everyone else..I'm a distributor. I don't know anyone that uses oils that isn't. LOL

My statement was you can Google and find many answers on how to use the oils.

Thanks for starting this thread.... I plan to try the lavander on my friends horse the next time he gets excited while trail riding.... BUT better than that!! I couldn't sleep last night due to sinus drainage..... Woke up miserable... (not the better part) I pulled up the essential oil page to see if what I have in the cabinet would help me... YAY... I have eucalyptus and theives... BOTH will help with sinus issues.... For right now I'm feeling better and my throat is on the mend. YAY hope to all better tomorrow.
