Dad is home now. The feeling in his arm has not retuned yet but at least hes home. He will start theropy in the next week to try and help his arm. My dad is so independent and this has been tough on him.
Thank you all for the prayers. Staying positive.

Prayers for your Dad. Where in MN are you?
Remind your Dad, to call 911 if he starts feeling worse. Those darn independent men can be so stubborn!

I just read the headlines

My FIL had a stroke several years back. He also had lost feeling in his left hand. After PT it got better but not completely. He would drop whatever he held in his hand and not know it. My daughter showed him a very simple hand exercise that helped him a lot. He has not had a stroke since that small one. My MIL has severe arthritis and he has to help her and do the housework/yard work. He takes good care of himself and takes aspirin daily. I hope this helps you a little with your anxiety. I know we worried about him for awhile, calling several times a day and a very special friend goes by every day to visit. But my FIL did return to his old self. I pray your dad does too. I wanted to add he is a very competitive person so he made his PT a competition with himself and worked on it when he was at home too.

Continued prayers for you and your Dad....You need to relax and take care of yourself. Many times, these small strokes are a message and now he can get the medical help he needs. PT WILL help......he may not be completely recovered but he is HERE with you..........

So glad your dad is home. My daughter is a physical therapist. That being said she has been able to help so many stroke patients. I pray that his therapy will get the feeling back.
Continued prayers.

Thank you all for the continued prayers. This morning my dad woke up about 430 and came upstairs with a can of peas and asked if he could eat them...we are working on controlling his diabetes and he isn't sure what to eat anymore. I'm gping grocery shopping for him now.
I'm also doing some PT stuff with him at home. Were working on picking up plastic bottles and smaller things. I'm completed dedicated to helping him recover. Your prsyers are so greatly appreciated.
Ill update again soon.
