GLP - 2014-11-17 10:54 AM Glad you got him sold. Thise sales are tension packed and it's understandable that a young one would act scared.
Thank you...people are quick to judge....especially when they have NEVER been in that circumstance with yearlings.  It happens.

He was a beautiful individual. Wish I had been at the sale. My husband has purchased several "spooked from the ring" on the backside and all three were winners!

Absolutely---we watched most of it, had chores to do, but I thought it was a quality run sale. Good job to all involved.

I'm the owner of the colt that would not come into the ring....he got scared period. The guy (Ted) got knocked down not Kicked. He is a very nice colt & Jennifer Driver bought him...yes..she saw everything & several other nice offers were made on him before he even got got back to the stall.  There were a lot very nice horses in the sale.  Everybody seemed happy.  Happy Day everybody.

Hip # 20 Famous LaJolla was sold for $5,200.

Thanks for the explanation.  Yes when babies get scared their only defense if protection .  Sounds like it ended well

Thank you to all that showed interest in him & were not spooked about this ONE incident.

That is absolutely normal.
I would not think twice about it.
I used to fit sale horses both TB, Quarter and Cutting horses.
It happens, they are babies.
Glad he got a good home.

Watched the sale online and it looked like a lot of the young horses found the entrance to the sales ring scary. I loved your Firewater Ta Fame you sold.

Tyler Rivette, he is the manager of Harrison Ranch, young kid, around 20. He is a good hand, quiet rider, I expect him to do well.

You would think that they would put him in the hands of someone with more experience.
