We've always had a budget limit for Santa gifts, they are limited to one thing, and the kids never questioned it. Even Santa's resources are not infinite.
This year, my 9 year old, who has figured out the Santa thing, asked for an iPad mini from Santa.
(He's playing along for his sister
) Since this is well over Santa's budget, he has to "donate" the difference from the money he earned working last summer and fall. His sister
(shes 6
) wanted a kindle fire, but she was afraid it would be too much
(and it was
), so she asked Santa for a zero-gravity lawn chair. LMAO
that is priceless! Zero gravity lawn chair lol although i must say those things are awesome!

Never believed in Santa or the Easter bunny....oh I know the store of them but we were always told the real reason for those holidays. We never had money growing up and our Christmas gifts were bast on the 3 Wiseman gifts .....Something you need
(gold given to Jesus parents for his offering at the time of cecircumcision
)Something usefull
(frankensenc for his burial
) and something special
(mur for a king
).

Santa was always the big "gift giver" when I was growing up. And that tradition continues with each of my siblings and our families and my oldest sister is 68 so it has gone on for years. My mother always told us as long as we believed there would always be a Santa. I'm in my 50's and by golly Santa still brings gifts to me every year! Growing up we never got new clothes or anything at the beginning of the school year. Anything we ever got new was always at Christmas. My mom shopped sales all year long because we didn't have a lot of money and she was able to buy all 4 of us some really nice things. My kids are now adults and they still "believe" as well and Santa arrives every year for them as well and always will as will be the tradition with their children. As long as I'm alive our largest gifts will follow tradition and will continue to be from Santa. This, along with many other things are all Christmas traditions in my family from reading the story of the birth of Jesus, to having a family Christmas program, to prepairing and eating a dinner on Christmas Eve that have been handed down and served in the family for 4 generations. I donate plenty at Christmastime and throughout the year for those less fortunate so I have no guilt in how we celebrate Christmas.
