And look at them now. One ruled by the Mafia, the other by terrorists... (Of course the Pope has his own little corner in Rome) |

To me marrying your DAD is a lot different than simply being gay. This forum gets more disturbing and difficult to read by the day. You can look through your tunnel vision all you want.       Take a look in the mirror. If things never changed we'd never get anywhere. TXBO: You bet I do, even if I find the particular arrangement to be disgusting. Then I'm not sure why you are so disgusted. The only person to compare this to being gay was you.Â
That's exactly where you and Whiteboy were going with it. You know it, I know it, everyone reading knows it. Stop trying to be coy and own it.
I'll own it! That is exactly what I was saying.   Â
Just Plain Lucky, thank you for the call out. I was following this to see where it went.
Whiteboy - while I respect your opinion I don't think you realize how hurtful and impactful your comments are to those of us that are living with the cards that the good Lord gave us. I am a gay man with a wonderful partner that is a man - he has two beautiful children with his ex-wife and while we can't legally marry in Texas I still call them my step-kids. If I could marry him in Texas I would - it would make our life so much easier (benefits, taxes, conscent forms when his kids are with me are needed since I'm not a "legal" parent, the lists go on). I really don't know why anyone would care unless it directly affected them... but we all have our reasons for our beliefs. We also nixed all social media for the last 6 years, just to shield the kids from potentially getting any negativity should anyone put two and two together. As of recent we've started going to races - I am so afraid someone may make a comment in front of the 12 year old and shatter the joy that she's getting out of learning to ride and going to the events. You have no idea how your words and opinions said it a purposefully hurtful way impacts others.
Thank you for reminding me why I had nixed all social media and will be doing so again. |

We sold all of the dogs but 1, and the only thing she has hunted this year is the couch. My husband started working at ADM as an elevator operator/barge loader and their busy time is during coon season, he is too tired to go when he gets home around 9pm then has to be back at the plant by 5am. And I am a self admitted chicken and wont go alone lol, so they weren't getting hunted enough. We kept the old faithful, she was already pretty much a house pet and we can take her whenever we want and not worry about a 3mile hike. She loves hunting but she is just as content going for a truck ride to the farm store. |

Sorry to hear that. Sounds like things are going well for the two of you though. Glad to hear it. There will be time hunt again one day soon. |

Hey buddy welcome to the conversation. And since you brought it up just because you were born with that inclination doesn't mean you should engage in that behavior or get a free pass on everyones moral compass. I come from a family of alcoholics, yet I choose not to drink, because I think that is right. If you choose to feel like the victim then so be it. But I still ask the question to you or anybody else, how is the subject of this thread any different? |

Why should he not support the equal rights of two consenting adults that love each other? |

He is him. Why should he not find a suitable SO to live his life with because you don't like it?

He can live his life however he wants, I'll do the same, but remember he came to this conversation and felt like he was being picked on. But the questions is, as society slides further away from values we once thought were important, where does that leave us in the future? From the article, the state of New Jersey allows incest, is that the next supreme court issue of the decade. Well that all depends on people and their defenition of "right". |
